It's Christmas week here on WrestleRant Radio and Graham "GSM" Matthews is coming to town with a full review of Monday's holiday-themed episode of Raw! The show was hosted by none other than Ho-Ho-Hogan who made several marquee matches official for the night, only to be interrupted by the "naughty" Seth Rollins. He and John Cena worked a great match, but where was Brock Lesnar? GSM makes a case for why Lesnar vs. Cena IV should be happening on the first Raw on 2015 and not at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Furthermore, Dolph Ziggler put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Luke Harper in a rematch from TLC. WWE is pushing the narrative that 2015 will be Ziggler's year, but can wrestling fans buy into that this time around? Rusev and Ryback also clashed on Piper's Pit, and GSM gets into why it'll be one of the most anticipated matches in recent memory. The night's main event saw Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose settle their score in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight, and despite how entertaining the matchup was, GSM has an issue with the ending. Don't forget to tune in next week for an extensive look back at the year that was 2014, as well as the revealing of the results from the WWE/TNA Year in Review Awards! Polls close at midnight on Tuesday, December 30, so vote now! Happy Holidays! From NXT TakeOver: R Evolution to WWE TLC to Monday Night Raw, it's been a wild week in the world of wrestling. The best part? It's not over yet! The latest WrestleRant Radio is loaded with thoughts on the past week in wrestling including Thursday's live NXT special, and what a stellar it was! It saw the WWE debut of Kevin Owens, and his actions at both the start of the special! Graham "GSM" Matthews gives his thoughts on Owens as well as the pending feud between Baron Corbin and Bull Dempsey, Finn Balor's new (or old?) look, an amazing outing from the ladies of NXT, and Sami Zayn's big win in what was the match of the year! In the second half of the show, GSM sits down with his college roommate Connor the Casual (aka "ScrubLord") to dissect his brain on Sunday's TLC pay-per-view. How did a casual viewer perceive the show? Was it as bad as some people made it out to be? They give their two cents on Dolph Ziggler winning the Intercontinental Championship, Damien Mizdow's potential, the great Stairs match (yes, you read that right!) between Big Show and Erick Rowan, the return of Roman Reigns, Rusev's undefeated streak and when he should be beat, Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt stealing the show in the main event, and more! It's been a week to remember in the world of wrestling, and WrestleRant Radio's final live show of the year analyzes it all! The big story this week has been CM Punk signing with UFC and Graham "GSM" Matthews, RJ Marceau and special guest Branden Dross waste no time in getting into it. What were their thoughts on it and do they foresee success for the Straightedge Society in the organization? Speaking of UFC, will Brock Lesnar be joining him when his WWE contract expires in the spring? The Slammy Awards were a hot topic this week as well and whether the fan voting was rigged. Was Roman Reigns really Superstar of the Year worthy?
Thursday's NXT Takeover: R Evolution event is shaping up to be a strong show with plenty to get excited about. Charlotte, who recently made her main roster debut, defends the NXT Women's Championship against Sasha Banks. Will she escape the event with her title intact? Will Sami Zayn finally win the NXT Championship? And how will Kevin Owens make his presence felt? Also, the trio talk their predictions for Sunday's WWE TLC pay-per-view event, if Randy Orton will get involved, future booking on the road to WrestleMania, and much more! |
