AEW TNT Champion Adam Cole, Kyle Fletcher and Daniel Garcia Interrupted Each OtherFletcher was the standout of this segment. He told no lies and conducted himself as a star. I couldn't help but laugh when Garcia asked, "Who hasn't beaten Daniel Garcia?" I appreciated his honesty and I understood what he meant, but that was a pretty stupid thing to say because it just pointed out how he's been a loser as of late. This was a solid segment to start the show and establish that it'd be Fletcher vs. Garcia in an AEW TNT Championship number one contender's match later in the night. Kevin Knight def. AEW World Tag Team Champion Shelton Benjamin and ROH World Television Champion Nick Wayne in a Three-Way Match (Non-Title)Knight and Mike Bailey have endured so many beatdowns at the hands of The Hurt Syndicate in the last month that this was a necessary win for Knight in order to explain why they'll be involved in the AEW World Tag Team Championship match at All In. It was a nicely-paced, well-wrestled three-way and Knight pinning Benjamin ensured his victory meant more. Mistico, Mark Briscoe and Hologram def. Roppongi Vice and HechiceroThis was your usual random multi-man tag team match on Collision. It was an enjoyable outing and the crowd had fun with it, but I wish there was more of a reason why this stuff happens other than giving people wins (and it's not like it was a straight-up squash, either). At least it was established afterward that Mistico will be a part of the men's Casino Gauntlet match at All In. Scorpio Sky def. Max CasterSky last competed on AEW TV back in September 2023 and I believe he got hurt soon after, but there was also a lengthy period where he was healthy and just not being used. He was also off television for almost exactly a year prior to that, too. I assumed his contract would quietly not be renewed, but it's awesome to see him back. I like his old SCU partner Christopher Daniels serving as his new manager and Top Flight and Leila Grey also being a part of the faction. This was a short and sweet showcase for the returning star. Willow Nightingale def. VipressKris Statlander was shown watching from the back before walking away when Wheeler Yuta approached her. This story with Statlander and Nightingale will never end seemingly. I was a fan of their feud last summer, but the lack of actual development in the last few months has been disappointing. They really should have reunited by now, or at least not associate with each other. At any rate, this was quick and painless with Nightingale scoring the decisive win. FTR def. The OutrunnersI'm actually disappointed this wasn't saved for All In. Not only because it would've made sense and gotten FTR on the card, but also because this ended up being a great match. I knew it'd be entertaining, but they still managed to exceed my expectations. Props to The Outrunners as well for the strong showing they had and looking credible in defeat. FTR continue to kill time until Cope is brought back to feud with them. Megan Bayne, Julia Hart, Thekla and ROH Women's World Champion Athena def. Anna Jay, Tay Melo, Queen Aminata and Thunder RosaThis was basically the same eight-woman tag team match we got on last week's Collision, just with Julia Hart replacing Penelope Ford. It was another good match yet not all that much different. You'd think we'd be getting a multi-team match of some sort with these women (excluding Athena and Rosa) at All In, but my guess is that they'll just be participating in the women's Casino Gauntlet match and holding off in the inevitable AEW Women's Tag Team Championship announcement for another time. Kyle Fletcher def. Daniel Garcia in an AEW TNT Championship No. 1 Contender's MatchI'm glad AEW isn't going with a three-way for the TNT title at All In since Garcia has done nothing to deserve that opportunity. I loved how this was laid out with Fletcher completely dominating Garcia. Garcia showed a lot of heart and Fletcher came off like a total badass. Fletcher vs. Cole at All In is the correct call and I really hope Fletcher takes the title from him there considering Cole has done very little with it. Overall ShowThis was an above-average edition of Collision in my book, which was appropriate with it being the 100th episode. The show still isn't what it was when it first started (the summer of 2023 specifically was white hot for Collision), but the quality has improved on the whole this year and this was certainly one of the better installments thanks to FTR vs. The Outrunners, Sky's return and the stakes of the main event.
