AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita Ended in a Time-Limit DrawThis had the simple story of Moxley wanting to avenge one of the losses he suffered during the Continental Classic. They've proven in the past they work really well together and this was no exception. The action was excellent and I have no issue with them going to a time-limit draw to protect both guys in defeat, provided they run it back at Revolution and there's a decisive winner. AEW Women's World Tag Team Champions The Babes of Wrath def. MegaBadThis was along the same lines as their previous encounter on Dynamite, but it was a good match and it had the advantage of Harley Cameron being an Australia native. Cameron lost at Grand Slam: Australia last year, so it was logical for her to pick up the win for her team here. Lena Kross debuted afterward and aided MegaBad in laying out Babes of Wrath, so it looks like MegaBad will continuing pursuing the tag titles, but maybe Kross will challenge for Willow Nightingale's AEW TBS Championship? AEW World Trios Champion "Hangman" Adam Page def. Andrade El Idolo in an AEW World Championship No. 1 Contender's MatchMy biggest knock against this match is that I wish it went a little longer. I don't normally say that about AEW matches because they tend to get more time than what's necessary, but with this being a number one contender's matchup, it would've made sense. Otherwise, this was great stuff. Andrade has been on fire since returning to AEW, and although some people may have wanted him to win here, Page vs. MJF is simply a stronger match for Revolution. Hopefully we'll still get MJF vs. Andrade eventually, though. "Timeless" Toni Storm and Orange Cassidy def. The Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir)Per the stipulation, Yuta had to have his head shaved afterward, or at least most of it. Interestingly, Yuta attempted to escape but Moxley and Shafir had him go back to the ring to ensure he honored the stipulation. The match itself was enjoyable, but I'm just ready for this rivalry to be over. You had to know Yuta would be the one getting a haircut as soon as this stipulation was announced. AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher def. Mark Briscoe in a Ladder MatchI still think it was too soon to revisit this rivalry, especially so soon after Fletcher got the belt back, but it was a fun Ladder match, nonetheless. They have terrific chemistry together and they had the crowd invested in the action. Now that their feud is definitively over, Tommaso Ciampa should get a rematch with Fletcher soon since it would be a shame for his time in the title picture to be over so quickly. AEW World Champion MJF def. Brody KingDespite King squashing MJF on Dynamite last week, I don't think anyone actually thought King would take the title here. It was more about what kind of match they'd have, and I thought it was a solid main event with King scoring enough offense to look credible in defeat. I had seen some speculation from fans that King's old tag team partner Buddy Matthews could return here and cost King the title. That obviously didn't happen, so I'm curious where King goes from here and it's right back to the tag team ranks for him and Bandido. Overall ShowYou can call this a glorified house show, but I'd call it an above-average edition of Collision. Last year's installment was slightly better (and more newsworthy as this one didn't feature any title changes), but it was an entertaining two-and-a-half-hour special with a hot crowd in Sydney. AEW would benefit from doing more shows like this because it felt like a big deal in that it was basically a mini pay-per-view. Nothing too important happened, but the shorter runtime forced them to cut any filler.
