Josh Alexander def. Kota Ibushi by Count-OutIt was reported coming into the match that Ibushi suffered an injury that caused the contest to be cut short, so I wasn't sure if it'd be shown on television or not. It was, overshadowing the very good match they had leading up to that point. They obviously had to switch some things up since Mark Davis returned in the most anticlimactic way possible by "attacking" an injured Ibushi at ringside before Kenny Omega made the save. Ibushi is going to be out for a long time after already missing almost two years with a different injury. The guy unfortunately can't catch a break. Anthony Bowens and Max Caster def. Bryan Keith and Big BillBowens and Caster have made it clear that they aren't The Acclaimed anymore, but they continue to rack up wins. If Keith and Bill can't beat them when they aren't on the same page, then they probably shouldn't be teaming anymore. The match itself was solid and accomplished what it needed to. I still don't care about The Acclaimed reuniting so soon after breaking up, but at least they have direction. TayJay def. Dream Girl Ellie and Carolina CruzFor those wondering, there's been no update on when the tournament to crown the inaugural AEW Women's World Tag Team Champions will be held or who it will consist of, but there's no doubt TayJay will be a part of it and I wouldn't be surprised if they won the whole thing. This was a fairly standard showcase with them beating the enhancement team quickly and decisively. Triangle of Madness (Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue) def. Harley Cameron, "Timeless" Toni Storm and AEW Women's World Champion Kris StatlanderAs an actual trio, Triangle of Madness absolutely needed to win here, especially ahead of the aforementioned AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship Tournament. These six stars had the quality contest they were capable of, and Cameron eating the loss was logical since Storm and Statlander will be fighting each other for the AEW Women's World Championship at WrestleDream. La Faccion Ingobernale (Dralistico and ROH World Tag Team Champions Sammy Guevara and Rush) def. MxM TV (Mansoor, Mason Madden and Johnny TV)This was another open challenge from MxM TV. I guess they're going to be taking over Caster's open challenge gimmick now that Caster is back with Bowens. What I don't understand is if MxM TV are supposed to babyfaces or heels because this was the second straight week their open challenge was answered by heels. Nonetheless, this was exactly what it needed to be: total dominance from LFI. Eddie Kingston def. The Beast MortosI'm aware that Kingston and Guevara had on-screen (as well as off-screen) issues years ago, but there's still no reason for them to be feuding in 2025. We've barely heard from Kingston since returning and he's largely been exclusive to Collision. Not the strongest start to his return in my opinion. This was a well-worked match from these two and another win for Kingston as we presumably get closer to him facing Guevara one-on-one. Top Gods (Megan Bayne and FTR) def. Willow Nightingale and JetSpeedI love the Top Gods name for FTR, Bayne and Penelope Ford. We'll see if their alliance sticks beyond this one match. It was an entertaining main event with everyone involved having nice showings. Top Gods winning was fine to keep the feud alive. I assume this is leading to FTR facing JetSpeed at WrestleDream, which should be a fun match if they're given some time. Overall ShowThis was billed as a Homecoming show because (much like Wednesday's Dynamite) it emanated from Daily's Place in Jacksonville, but there wasn't anything special about it otherwise. Rather, this was your average edition of Collision. There's nothing wrong with that since it was a thumbs-up episode with enjoyable action, but it's not as if there were any major or significant storyline developments.
