Mercedes Mone def. Isla DawnDawn is obviously a Glasgow native, so it's cool that she was able to make an appearance in her hometown. Of course, the outcome was never in doubt with Mone challenging for the AEW Women's World Championship at All In tomorrow, but this was a nice spot for her. Granted, the match didn't last long, but I don't think it needed to. Willow Nightingale fended off Mone afterward and cut a quick, fiery promo. "Speedball" Mike Bailey, Komander and Jericho def. Nick Wayne, Tommaso Ciampa and Mark DavisMJF and Andrade El Idolo interacted on Wednesday's Dynamite and this was the rest of the expected combatants in the Casino Gauntlet match at All In going at it. The funny thing is that I don't think all of these guys are confirmed to take part (aside from Ciampa), but I'm sure most if not all of them will be in there. Nonetheless, this had plenty of enjoyable action and received a ton of time. The Dogs (David Finlay, Clark Connors and Gabe Kidd) def. Ronan King, Judas Grey and Landon RileyAfter weeks of speculation, it's been announced since Dynamite that the AEW World Trios Championship will be defended in a Gauntlet-esque Battle Royal on the All In Buy-In pre-show. Among those teams will be The Dogs and it was logical to give them a victory before then. This was a standard showcase for them that it didn't overstay its welcome with the heels going over decisively. Bang Bang Gang (Jay White and The Gunns) and AEW World Trios Champions "Hangman" Adam Page and Brodido def. ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions The Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal and The Swirl) and The Demand (Ricochet and GOA)This existed for the same reason the previous match did in that it served as hype for whatever the hell this AEW World Trios Championship matchup is going to be at All In. It's hard to go wrong when you have so many talented individuals involved, so unsurprisingly, this was a quality contest. The post-match chaos featuring other trios that we're going to see on Sunday wasn't all that surprising, either. Artist of Stardom Champion Skye Blue def. Harley CameronI have no idea why we needed this match on the final Collision before All In. I know it's Collision and you're going to get matches like this once in a while, but it felt out of place. It's not as if Cameron has been feuding with anyone in Triangle of Madness, either. Blue and Cameron had an acceptable outing in the time they were allotted, but the only way this makes sense is if it leads to a tag team bout (which looks likely after Hart gave Blue an assist here). AEW TNT Champion Kevin Knight Attacked Steven BordenWe've been seeing Borden on AEW TV with Darby Allin as of late, so I get having Knight beat him up to build toward Knight vs. Allin at All In. It was a basic yet effective angle and both guys played their roles well. With it being a Falls Count Anywhere match on Sunday, it's entirely possible Borden helps Allin fend off other members of The Don Callis Family. Konosuke Takeshita def. The Beast MortosWe got Swerve Strickland vs. Jack Perry in a rather random main event on Wednesday's Dynamite and then this on Saturday night. At least Takeshita is officially on the All In card, but it wasn't a main event worthy match whatsoever. Despite that, they had a good outing that didn't overstay its welcome. Kyle Fletcher attacked Takeshita afterward, but Kazuchika Okada (the other competitor in that three-way at All In) didn't show up. Overall ShowWednesday's Dynamite was significantly stronger than this show was, but it wasn't a bad edition of Collision by any means. It worked as a fine go-home show heading into the pay-per-view, but at this point, nothing on this episode was going to move the needle for most fans. Nonetheless, the two hours were adequate and the crowd in Glasgow made for a fun atmosphere as they did for Dynamite.
