AEW World Trios Champions Jet Set Rodeo ("Hangman" Adam Page and JetSpeed) def. The Demand (AEW National Champion Ricochet and GOA)I have no idea what The Demand have done lately to earn an opportunity at the AEW World Trios Championship, but hey, I'm just glad Jet Set Rodeo finally defended the titles. Page's sights are firmly set on the AEW World Championship at this point, so I don't know how much longer their reign will last, but I'm enjoying it for now. This was an entertaining opener, but can we please move beyond Ricochet feuding with Jack Perry (who cost The Demand the titles here)? The Young Bucks def. The SwirlIn my opinion, the Bucks are at their best when they're just doing their thing in the ring, not the character work that can be unbearably bad at times. This was straightforward stuff and it was solid. The Swirl never posed a legitimate threat, of course, but the match was arguably the perfect length. This gave the Bucks another momentum-building win before they challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Revolution. CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Claudio Castagnoli def. Josh AlexanderGenuine question: Has Alexander won a single match that has truly mattered since debuting in AEW almost a year ago? Will this always be his role on the roster? Putting that aside, this was the very well-wrestled match you'd expect from these two. AEW has way too many titles as it is, but they do an effective job of making the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship feel prestigious whenever it's defended. Megan Bayne def. B3ccaApparently this was another one of those "standby" matches that Tony Khan has become obsessed with booking this year. Why are we seeing so many of them on Dynamite and Collision when we never got them before recently? This worked as a simple showcase for Bayne, especially after she failed to win the AEW TBS Championship on Wednesday's Dynamite, but billing this as a "standby" match seemed unnecessary. The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Davis and El Clon) def. The Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta, Pac and AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley)I feel like I've already seen several variations of this match, so although the action was adequate, I personally didn't find any of it interesting. We now know Moxley and Takeshita will run it back at Revolution for the AEW Continental Championship with no time limit, so we're just killing time until then. The faction warfare has been boring so far with these two groups, but at least Takeshita picked up the win for his team. Thunder Rosa def. Julia HartThis marked Rosa's first match since All In last July. She was unfortunately out injured for many months, but it's cool that she's coming back with a bang by immediately setting her sights on the AEW Women's World Championship. Rosa vs. Hart was serviceable and gave Rosa a victory. Meanwhile, Thekla continues to have such a presence about her and that was evident during her post-match promo. The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier) def. AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR in an AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator MatchThe Eliminator concept in general is exhausting because we get so damn many of them in AEW, but this was a worthy main event because of how talented these teams are. They had a great match and the outcome was a pleasant surprise. It would have been a mistake to throw this out there after only announcing it earlier in the night, but now they can build to a rematch soon, presumably before FTR defend against the Bucks at Revolution. The post-match chaos with the heels standing tall and FTR attacking the Bucks' family at ringside was exceptionally executed. Overall ShowWe briefly heard from Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors at ringside right before the main event, but it wasn't long or important enough to devote a paragraph to. The rest of the episode was good and had a really nice pace. There was a decent amount of developments, which helped make it feel more than a setup show for Wednesday's Dynamite. Collision has been better on the whole in 2026 and I'd like to see more episodes of this quality more consistently.
