The Death Riders (PAC, Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia) def. SkyFlight (Top Flight and Scorpio Sky)If you were wondering why Zayda Steel (a former WWE ID talent) was with SkyFlight, it's because she was announced as Leila Grey's replacement in the group with Grey out injured at the moment. She was laid out by MegaProblems afterward. The match itself was solid but felt like it only existed to give Death Riders more momentum before Pac faces Darby Allin on Dynamite this coming Wednesday. Brody King def. Barrett BrownKing got a quick squash match on last week's Dynamite and this was no different. This was also designed to be a dominant showcase for him. I'm glad they're building up King while Bandido is in the midst of his big singles push, but I am curious in what the endgame is supposed to be. MJF vs. King for the AEW World Championship at some point would be cool, but will Bandido and King compete for who can achieve more success on their own? El Clon def. KomanderClon beating Angelico last week meant nothing, but it makes more sense in retrospect as it existed to give him a victory before he faced Komander here. Komander may not be a top talent in AEW, but he is regularly featured and thus defeating him had some value for Clon. They had a quality contest, which shouldn't be at all surprising considering Komander was involved. Hopefully this means Hologram's return to the ring is imminent, but I've heard/read nothing indicating that he's close to coming back. Mina Shirakawa def. Lady FrostFrost appears so infrequently in AEW that it's hard to take her seriously as a threat to anyone, but she's still a good hand in the ring and is reliable for enhancement matches like this one. The problem is that this felt inconsequential and didn't really accomplish anything. I know Timeless Love Bombs are currently feuding with MegaProblems, but that feud wasn't furthered whatsoever here. AEW TNT Champion Mark Briscoe def. HechiceroEven as someone who's become a big fan of Hechicero's work over the last year, I was aware he wasn't winning here. Sure, he may have had more of a chance than others, but the AEW TNT Championship was not changing hands on a random Collision. Despite that, I thought he and Briscoe had a very fun match and were given an ample amount of time and the finish was well done. AEW Women's World Tag Team Champions Babes of Warth and AEW Women's World Champion Kris Statlander def. Vertvixen, Hyan and Maya WorldIt's been announced that Statlander and Babes of Wrath will take on Triangle of Madness in a six-woman tag team match on Wednesday's Dynamite, so this served as a warm-up for them before then. They worked well together, but this probably went a little longer than it needed to. Post-match, Statlander and Thekla had a brief verbal exchange to build toward their inevitable one-on-one encounter for the AEW Women's World Championship. The Demand (GOA and AEW National Champion Ricochet) def. Anthony Bowens and JetSpeedJetSpeed were supposed to take on The Demand in a six-man tag team match on Wednesday's Dynamite but weren't cleared to compete (in storyline), so this was their chance to score some revenge. Bowens was a bit of a random partner for them, but it immediately became apparent that he was only there to eat the pin for his team. This was an enjoyable main event, even though it lacked meaningful stakes. Chaos ensued afterward with JetSpeed, Bowens, Max Caster, Roderick Strong and some members of The Conglomeration fending off The Demand and The Don Callis Family. Overall ShowThis was definitely a step above last week's rather forgettable edition of Collision. Okay, so that was a low bar to begin with, but this was a thumbs-up episode, nonetheless. There was plenty of chaotic action and setup for Dynamite on Wednesday. Was it must-see? Not necessarily, but there are worse ways to spend two hours. Shirakawa vs. Frost was the only match that felt like filler.
