AEW TNT/ROH World Tag Team/ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion Dustin Rhodes Attacked Kyle FletcherThey really aren't wasting any time getting to Rhodes vs. Fletcher. I'm glad Rhodes had a chance to address becoming AEW TNT Champion at All In, but this reign doesn't necessarily need to be a long one. This was a good segment to start the show and to establish that the TNT title remains in Fletcher's crosshairs, ending with Rhodes getting the better of Fletcher (presumably this time only). Ricochet def. AR FoxThis stemmed from Ricochet bailing Fox in a recent tag team match. It was the third singles match they've had against each other in the last year, so while it was nothing new, it was a nice match while it lasted despite the outcome never being in doubt. The key was Ricochet racking up another win. Will he continue to add more members to his group? And where is he ultimately headed? The Death Riders Attacked Colt CabanaI was actually excited to hear Colt Cabana on commentary when the show started because I loved his work behind the booth in Ring of Honor and the few episodes he did of AEW Dark (before he was signed to a performer contract). And then he was brutally attacked by Death Riders here because he's friends with Adam Page. It made me hate them (more than I already do), so I can't say the angle didn't work and help put more heat on them. Megan Bayne def. Tay MeloBayne's been involved in so many damn tag team matches since failing to beat Toni Storm for the AEW Women's World Championship at Dynasty that I feel like she's lost a bit of her momentum as a singles star. This was a welcome return to form for her in what was a quality contest with Melo. Similar to Ricochet, I don't know what's next for Bayne, but at least she's maintaining momentum in the meantime. Alex Windsor def. Taya Valkyrie; AEW Women's World Champion "Timeless" Toni Storm Chased Off ROH Women's World Champion AthenaA series of vignettes that aired for Windsor on AEW TV (specifically Collision if I'm not mistaken) before she finally debuted at All In (she had wrestled for AEW and ROH before but usually as an enhancement talent, though she's officially been signed). This was a solid showcase for her with Valkyrie being experienced and an easy person to beat. The post-match verbal exchange between Athena and Storm was simple stuff to hype Storm's Dynamite match with Billie Starkz. The Gates of Agony def. CRU, The Gunns, and Big Bill & Bryan Keith in a $200,000 Four-Way Tag Team MatchWho needs tag team title shots when you can fight for money that's never acknowledged again? These matches have become a Tony Khan specialty along with the "All-Star" tag team matches. The madness must stop! In all seriousness, this was a fun four-way with the right team going over now that Gates of Agony have aligned with Ricochet. The Gunns returning at All In and immediately losing was an interesting choice, but perhaps they and Juice Robinson will feud with Gates of Agony and Ricochet going forward. Kyle O'Reilly def. Max CasterIt's astonishing to me that we've reached a point where Caster is more relevant than Anthony Bowens. Sure, Caster hasn't won in a while, but neither has Bowens, and Caster feels more relevant in this role than whatever the hell Bowens is doing with Billy Gunn. This was a fairly basic bout with O'Reilly winning within the five-minute time limit. I assume Paragon stay in the tag team ranks with Adam Cole out indefinitely, but perhaps he and Roderick Strong will get the occasional singles push. Rush def. AEW World Trios Champion Katsuyori ShibataThe biggest issue with the trios division as of late is that there really hasn't been much of a division outside of The Opps and The Death Riders. La Faccion Ingobernable are great, but every time they start catching steam, they disappear from the show. Here's hoping this program sticks and they chase the AEW World Trios Championship, though The Opps will need a replacement for Samoa Joe if he's going to be out for the foreseeable future. This was the well-worked match you'd expect from these two. Mascara Dorada, ROH World Champion Bandido and JetSpeed def. The Don Callis Family (Rocky Romero, Hechicero, Josh Alexander and Lance Archer)I'm genuinely shocked this wasn't branded as an "All-Star" tag team main event. Props to Khan for resisting the urge. In other news, I'm convinced that The Don Callis Family only exists so they can compete in multi-man tag team matches every week. That's legitimately all they've done for months now. I like the group, but these matches never ceases to blend together for me, even though the live crowds always enjoy them. This was another well-wrestled main event that didn't seem to accomplish anything. Overall ShowPlenty of tag team matches and matches without stakes. I don't want to see this become the norm for Collision, which has had an uptick in quality this year (getting rid of Rampage led to Khan get far more focused with his booking). This isn't a show worth seeking out considering the storyline advancement was average and the action will quickly be forgotten, but I can think of worse ways to kill two hours.
