FTR and The Outrunners Faced OffDax Harwood getting pinned in that big tag team match by Atlantis last week made me think that feud wasn't over, but now it looks like FTR is moving onto The Outrunners. That's an improvement in my opinion, but the timing is odd, not only because of that but also because The Outrunners were at their hottest earlier this year and that would've been the best time for this feud. Nonetheless, this was a solid segment to set up a match between the two teams while simultaneously recapping their history together. The Patriarchy (ROH World Television Champion Nick Wayne and Christian Cage) def. Bryan Keith and Big BillThe depth of AEW's tag team division is such that we have two heel teams fighting for a possible shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship. This just reminded me that Bill really should have turned on Chris Jericho before Jericho left for his sabbatical (or whatever) two months ago because they've been directionless in his absence. This was a quality contest with the expected outcome. Brody King and Templario def. Rocky Romero and HechiceroWhat a random match. Yes, I'm aware that King and Templario have had issues with The Don Callis Family as of late, but King and Templario aren't regular partners and Hechicero isn't even an official member of the group. Don't get me wrong, this was a well-wrestled affair, but it felt completely inconsequential. I want to see more meaningful wins, but makeshift teams exchanging wins for no real reason. Megan Bayne def. VertvixenThis was the usual straightforward squash for Bayne as it should have been. She was completely dominant throughout and the match didn't last more than two minutes. Clearly, Bayne will be a part of the women's Casino Gauntlet match at All In (the same match she made her debut in earlier this year), but beyond that, I wouldn't be shocked if AEW introduced tag titles for the women to keep people like her and Penelope Ford busy. AEW TNT Champion Adam Cole def. Josh AlexanderDid anyone else not find it weird that an AEW TNT Championship match was slotted in the middle of the show instead of going on last or even first? That made it all the more obvious Alexander wasn't winning, which I wasn't expecting to begin with considering Kyle Fletcher is waiting in the wings for another opportunity. This was a good match, but I really wish Alexander wouldn't lose as much as he has been since joining AEW. Queen Aminata def. Skye BlueThe booking of Aminata, Blue and Julia Hart is so confusing to me. Aminata will win matches against them, but the wins don't amount to anything. Meanwhile, Blue and Hart are losing left and right despite recently reuniting. It lacks logic to me. Regardless, this was a perfectly passable match that seemed to only exist to hype the women's Casino Gauntlet match at All In. Kyle Fletcher def. Kyle O'ReillyWith Fletcher feuding with Adam Cole over the AEW TNT Championship, it made sense for him to face O'Reilly here. There wasn't anything on the line here, but it was a very fun main event, mostly for all of the Kyle chants. It was also the best thing on the entire episode, so it was smart to close the show with it. I'd save Fletcher vs. Cole II for All In, but I can see it happening on TV before then. Overall ShowWhile this was far from a must-see show, it was still an enjoyable two hours on the whole. The focus on the AEW TNT Championship picture was appreciated, we were treated to the usual entertaining action and a new feud kicked off in the opening segment. Collision would benefit from featuring more of note, but at least this was a serviceable show with some stuff that mattered.
