AEW Collision Review - June 6, 2026

AEW Women's World Tag Team Champions The Divine Dominion def. TayJay

I'm shocked how quickly they burned through this feud. TayJay just returned at Double or Nothing and survived the five-minute Eliminator match against Divine Dominion soon after. I thought they'd drag this out a bit so Divine Dominion would have a team to work with until they presumably go up against The Brawling Birds at All In, but apparently not. TayJay didn't lose in a way here that would set up a rematch, either. This was decent yet hardly a barn burner. Is Jay's contract finally expiring imminently?

Shane Taylor def. Alan Angels

Angels pulled double duty tonight as he also appeared on MLW Fusion earlier in the evening and will face Kushida for the MLW World Middleweight Championship on next week's episode. Here, rather, he was jobber fodder for Taylor, who won quickly and decisively. That's because he called out Jon Moxley afterward, with it later being announced that they'll meet for the AEW Continental Championship on Wednesday's Dynamite.

The Death Riders (Pac, Claudio Castagnoli and AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley) def. Shane Taylor Promotions (The Infantry and ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty)

It wasn't a coincidence that this immediately followed Taylor's squash because it factored into the mini feud the two factions are having at the moment. I can't imagine a single person saw Shane Taylor Promotions as a legitimate threat to Death Riders, but it was a well-worked six-man tag team match, nonetheless. Needless to say, Death Riders were the babyfaces by default here.

Tommaso Ciampa def. BEEF

This served as a simple showcase for Ciampa. It was wise to not make this competitive since BEEF is the ultimate enhancement talent. It's worth noting that Ciampa won with the Liontamer before addressing Jericho in a post-match promo. The story is that he's going to keep calling out Jericho until Jericho finally fights back. It's not riveting television, but I'm just glad Ciampa is again involved in something meaningful.

Clark Connors def. Juice Robinson

I have no idea why The Dogs are wasting their time with Bang Bang Gang before they eventually challenge Cope & Cage for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Giving them a win over Bang Bang Gang in tag team action is one thing, but Connors facing Robinson one-on-one felt unnecessary, especially with it taking up as much time as it did. This was fine, but it didn't exactly put more heat on The Dogs.

AEW World Trios Champions The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly) def. La Faccion Ingobernable (Dralistico, Rush and ROH World Tag Team Champion Sammy Guevara)

It's bizarre that Rush went from fighting MJF for the AEW World Championship on Wednesday to fighting for the AEW World Trios Championship on Saturday, and losing both matches. He's not severely damaged or anything like that, but the booking is certainly questionable. LFI consistently lose whenever it matters most, but at least the match was enjoyable for what it was.

Hazuki def. CMLL World Women's Champion Persephone in a Women's Owen Hart Cup Quarterfinal Match (Non-Title)

Personally, I would have preferred to see Persephone advance as she had a higher chance of winning the whole thing than Hazuki, but I get AEW wanting to show some love to Stardom. Either way, this was a very good main event. Mercedes Mone attacked both women afterward. She's obviously making it all the way to the finals, but I appreciate giving her upcoming clash with Hazuki a bit of build.

Overall Show

We got two title matches on this show, which did make this edition of Collision slightly more meaningful, but there was minimal doubt surrounding either outcome. The women's Owen Hart Cup match in the main event was a plus. All in all, this was a solid show. Dynamite was excellent on Wednesday, and although this show wasn't remotely as exciting, it was an admirable effort.
