AEW Women's World Tag Team Champions The Divine Dominion def. The Babes of WrathHopefully Divine Dominion retaining the titles against the former champs means we can finally move on from this feud. Not because it's been bad, but because Willow Nightingale should be focusing on her AEW TBS Championship. Outside of that one nasty dive on the outside from Megan Bayne, this was a solid match and I appreciated them getting an ample amount of time in the opener slot. Myron Reed def. Johnny TVReed just beat Mansoor on Thursday's ROH TV. Are you telling me there's actual canonical continuity between ROH TV and Collision? What timeline are we living in? Kidding aside, this was a perfectly fine match. I assume it existed to give Reed another win, but what is he being built up for? Nonetheless, I'm glad he's not being forgotten about with Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz getting most of the attention in the tag team ranks. The Death Riders (Daniel Garcia and AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley) def. Private PartyWeren't Private Party among the first people to make enemies out of Death Riders all the way back in late 2024? Maybe not, but I'm not shocked they were fed to them here. Private Party only recently returned and are already back to feeling like stepping stones. Oh well. The match itself was well wrestled but felt like it only existed to give Death Riders a momentum boost before Moxley faces Will Ospreay at Dynasty. Mina Shirakawa and The Brawling Birds def. Nixi XS, Aminah Belmont and Haven HarrisShirakawa failed to take the AEW Women's World Championship from Thekla on Wednesday's Dynamite, but it makes sense for that feud to continue since Thekla cheated to defeat her. She linked up with Brawling Birds because the three of them will battle Triangle of Madness coming up on Dynamite. This served as a short and sweet showcase for them. Tommaso Ciampa def. Ace AustinI don't think Austin has won anything of note in AEW so far, so the outcome was never in doubt, but this was a fun sprint while it lasted. This was better than Austin getting squashed, but giving them so much time didn't exactly make Ciampa look like a killer. Ciampa is in the process of racking up wins again now that he's a heel, so this was a step in the right direction. The Don Callis Family (Mark Davis and AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher) def. The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz)I believe this was the first time Aussie Open have teamed since they both joined The Don Callis Family. It was cool to see just the two of them reunite, and I enjoyed their outing with The Rascalz, but I wonder what the endgame is. They shouldn't be a priority over The Rascalz while Fletcher is still AEW TNT Champion, unless this is leading to someone from The Rascalz (Reed?) facing Fletcher for the title. AEW International Champion Kazuchika Okada def. AEW World Trios Champion Kevin KnightThis was a rematch from the Continental Classic when Knight upset Okada. I don't know why it took so long for us to get it, but I'm happy we did. Knight has been having a hell of a year so far and this was the usual standout showing from him. There were honestly a few points I thought Knight might win. Okada barely being able to win was a nice touch and I hope they revisit this in the future. Overall ShowThis was a fairly average edition of Collision capped off by an above-average main event. The rest of the show featured quality wrestling, but Okada vs. Knight is especially worth checking out in my opinion. Collision was mostly throwaway last week due to it being split up over two days, but the show got back on track this week with an entertaining effort on the whole.
