The Opps (Katsuyori Shibata, Samoa Joe and Hook) def. Starboy Charlie, Titus Alexander and Jack BanningI'm genuinely surprised that The Opps vs. The Patriarchy or Joe vs. Christian Cage isn't happening at Revolution, but I'm not complaining. The last thing that show needs is more matches. That said, you'd think one of those matches was booked for the show given the existence of this match. At least it was a total squash with The Opps going over quickly and decisively. Momo Watanabe def. Serena DeebIt took AEW until the night before Revolution to get Watanabe in a match on AEW TV. I know her AEW TBS Championship match with Mercedes Mone at Revolution was announced weeks ago, but she really should have wrestled on AEW TV sooner so fans could get familiar with her if they weren't already aware of her work in Japan. She and Deeb had a well-wrestled affair, but this did not at all leave me thinking she has a chance in hell of taking the title from Mone on Sunday night. Harley Cameron def. TatevikObviously, Cameron hasn't gotten nearly as much television time in recent weeks as she was heading into Grand Slam: Australia, but that's okay. The key is that she's being featured at all and is in the process of winning more matches. If she can continue to improve and get additional opportunities to shine, she'll stay over with the audience. This was a fairly standard showcase for her as it should have been. The Undisputed Kingdom (Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly) def. The InfantryShane Taylor Promotions (of which The Infantry are a part) interrupted last week's AEW TNT Championship match between Adam Cole and Daniel Garcia, so this was a logical match to do. It was an enjoyable outing while it lasted, despite the outcome never being in doubt. It was announced later on that Undisputed Kingdom will face FTR in a rematch from last week on next Saturday's Collision. Hologram def. DralisticoDralistico is a talented wrestler, but we don't see nearly enough of him in the ring. He's usually relegated to tag team matches, but thankfully, we got a small taste of what he can do on his own here. He and Hologram had a very fun match and Hologram going over was the expected result. La Faccion Ingobernable attacked Hologram and Komander afterward to further that feud. The Outrunners def. Premier Athletes (Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari)I wish The Outrunners had been in the mix for the AEW World Tag Team Championship from the start instead of The Hurt Syndicate wasting time with Murder Machines. The build for the Revolution match would've felt a lot less rushed in that case. At any rate, I would've liked to see The Outrunners beat a more credible team than Premier Athletes, but a win is a win. The matchup was perfectly fine for what it was supposed to be. AEW TNT Champion Daniel Garcia def. ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty (ROH Pure Championship Was Not Defended)The action was as strong as you'd expect from these two, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was worthy of the main event spot. Garcia's AEW TNT Championship reign has been solid albeit unspectacular so far, and Moriarty was far from a genuine threat. I enjoyed this, but it stuck out like a sore thumb as the main event on the go-home show for a pay-per-view tomorrow night. Overall ShowTo be honest, this was a pretty pointless edition of Collision considering most of what went down had very little relation to Revolution. The best parts of the show were the pre-taped promos that aired in between the matches, but those could've easily aired as part of the Countdown to Revolution special that aired immediately afterward. Certainly check those out, but this episode can easily be skipped otherwise. The wrestling is good, but it will be forgotten by Revolution, anyway.
