"Speedball" Mike Bailey def. AR FoxIt's interesting that Bailey is getting showcase wins at a time when Kevin Knight is holding the AEW TNT Championship. The idea must be for him to challenge Knight at some point, possibly at Double or Nothing. If so, it's logical to give him some wins before then so it's earned. As for this match, it was the spot-fest you'd expect from these two and was fun for what it was. Jamie Hayter def. Skye BlueWelp, so much for Blue being built up for a shot at Persephone's CMLL World Women's Championship. Perhaps that was the plan and Persephone getting legitimately hurt put those plans on hold. Hayter winning made more sense if she still has her sights set on the AEW Women's World Championship despite falling short against Thekla at Dynasty. This was a solid bout between them. Rush def. Manny LoWe've been getting a bunch of squashes from Rush as of late and this was more of the same in that it was kept short and sweet. It's worth noting that he also got the video package treatment on Dynamite, so he's clearly being built up for something. It doesn't look like that's an immediate AEW World Championship shot, though, because I feel like he would've announced his intentions to go after the title by now if that was the case. Bang Bang Gang (Ace Austin and The Gunns) and The Young Bucks def. The Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia and Claudio Castagnoli) and The Dogs (Clark Connors and David Finlay)We got one of these massive multi-man tag team matches on the last edition of Collision and it wasn't drastically different than this. It makes me think that these guys are going to factor into Anarchy in the Arena somehow because what would be the point of these matchups otherwise? That said, it was a fast-paced, enjoyable main event for the time it was allotted. Overall ShowThe most notable part of this episode was what I wrote about at the end of Dynamite review with Darby Allin, MJF and Kazuchika Okada. This was only an hour long because Collision's second hour will be airing on Saturday night as the Fairway to Hell special. I hate when they do the three-hour blocks of television because they're usually inconsequential and this was no exception, so bless anyone who stayed up to watch this, but at least it was perfectly passable.
