The Death Riders (Pac, Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta) def. Jay Lethal, Adam Priest and "The Dynamite Kid" Tommy Billington

This was an essentially an extended showcase for Death Riders, designed to get them back on track following their loss in Blood and Guts on Wednesday night. Lethal, Priest and Billington work well together, but they aren't featured enough to feel like a threat as a trio. The match itself was fine but only existed to set up Pac's post-match promo where he challenged Darby Allin to a matchup at Full Gear. Allin still being involved with Death Riders is ridiculous but not surprising seeing as how there isn't a ton of time before the pay-per-view to get Allin involved in something else.

Mark Briscoe def. Mark Davis

The commentators mentioned that Davis was undefeated on Collision coming into this contest, probably in an attempt to make it more impressive when Briscoe beat him. Well, it didn't, but this was a logical match to do after Davis attacked Briscoe backstage during Blood and Guts and before Briscoe challenges Davis' Aussie Open tag team partner Kyle Fletcher for the AEW TNT Championship at Full Gear. They had a nice match, despite the predictable outcome.

Tay Melo def. Taya Valkyrie

It was said that Anna Jay being sick was why she wasn't out there with Melo. She and Jay are still set to compete in the quarterfinals of the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship Tournament, hence why Melo was attacked by one of her opponents Marina Shafir afterward. Melo vs. Valkyria was perfectly passable for the time it was allotted but nothing out of the ordinary.

AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher def. Scorpio Sky

This came completely out of nowhere. SkyFlight will have the occasional match on Collision, but Sky has barely been spotlighted on his own since returning to television earlier this year. Plus, Fletcher was already announced as defending the AEW TNT Championship against Briscoe at Full Gear, but Sky's chances here were practically nonexistent, but the match was good and it allowed Fletcher to beat a former TNT champ in Sky. Fletcher and Briscoe's post-match promos were also strong.

Riho and Alex Windsor def. Maya World and Hyan

We've still been given zero reason to care about Riho and Windsor as a tag team, but it's clear they're only teaming to lose in the first round of the tag team tourney. Whether they'll continue to team beyond that remains to be seen. This gave them a win before their quarterfinal match against Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa, and it was cool to see Hyan and Maya World brought back after filling in for Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize recently.

Jon Moxley Addressed the Audience

It was certainly strange to see Moxley on commentary for this show prior to this point even though he took the loss in Blood and Guts on Wednesday night. There was also no tension teased between him and the rest of Death Riders. He has to be on his way out of the group, right? This promo played up how he tapped out to Kyle O'Reilly, so I expect him and O'Reilly to have another singles match at Full Gear.

AEW World Tag Team Champion Bandido, Juice Robinson and JetSpeed def. ROH World Tag Team Champions La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush and Sammy Guevara) and FTR

I guess there's going to be a four-way tag team match for $200,000 on Full Gear's Tailgate Brawl pre-show next Saturday, but only Robinson will be a part of it. JetSpeed aren't in it for some reason as far as I know, but they have been feuding with FTR as of late. As for LFI, I'm going to assume they were here only to eat the loss. This was all action from start to finish and the best bout on the show.

Overall Show

I appreciated that this was a live edition of Collision, which doesn't happen often. Blood and Guts was obviously a far more significant show on Wednesday night, but this was enjoyable in its own right, not to mention it did its job of building toward Full Gear. Yes, the pay-per-view is next Saturday, but the card they've put together has plenty of promise. The enhancement matches were whatever, but the more meaningful stuff on this episode didn't leave me feeling like I had wasted my time.
