The Death Riders (Daniel Garcia, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli) def. "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard and Paragon (Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong)Garcia still has yet to give Menard an explanation for why he joined Death Riders (though it's pretty obvious), so I like that they're not quickly moving on from that and forgetting they were even aligned. It's important to establish Garcia with a string of wins right now and thus it made sense for him to pin Menard for the win. Death Riders are at their best when they're allowed to do their thing in the ring and not being overbooked or cutting rambling promos. The Death Riders (Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta) def. Rachael Ellering and Rosario GrilloIt was announced at the end of Dynamite that Shafir and Yuta will face Kris Statlander and Darby Allin in mixed tag team action on next week's Dynamite after Statlander turned down Death Riders' offer to join them and attacked Yuta. This was quick and painless with Shafir and Yuta going over decisively, but I could've done without Yuta's obnoxious post-match promo. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens def. The SwirlYes, The Swirl is what Blake Christian and Lee Johnson are using as their team name. Intimidating, I know. Kidding aside, this was a decent match designed to get Caster and Bowens closer to formally reuniting. I still laugh that they're getting back together after only a few months of being apart, but I guess Tony Khan really wants them back in the tag team scene (which is admittedly in the process of being built up again). Dalton Castle and The Outrunners def. K.M., Corey Sparks and Cowpoke PaulThis was a random return for Castle. I remember there being a vignette or two that aired on ROH TV many months ago hyping him returning after being injured for over a year, but then there was nothing until now. I'm glad to see him back, nonetheless. This was another brief bout. I'd be all for Castle and The Outrunners joining the six-man tag team ranks because I don't know what they do otherwise. AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher def. KomanderAlthough it was odd for Fletcher to defend the AEW TNT Championship days before he defends it on Dynamite, I didn't mind because this was a certified banger. Plus, there's nothing wrong with the TNT title being defended frequently. This was Komander's first match since early June and he didn't miss a beat. With Hologram attacked/injured at the start of the show, we found out it will be Orange Cassidy challenging Fletcher on Dynamite this Wednesday instead. Hook and Eddie Kingston def. Bryan Keith and Big Bill in a Tornado MatchEvery time I see Keith and Bill, I'm reminded that Chris Jericho straight-up ditched them without putting either of them over before taking time off, and I get annoyed all over again. As for the match, it was well worked and a definite improvement over Kingston vs. Bill from All Out. That said, I have no said why this needed to the tornado stipulation. Why the hell haven't we heard from Kingston on the mic yet? Jamie Hayter def. Julia HartThis was the rubber match in their mini feud from earlier this year. They have quality chemistry together, so unsurprisingly, this was another good match from them. Hayter going over was the correct call, but Hart was made to look credible in defeat. I was wondering why this was saved for last until it became clear when Hayter challenged Triangle of Madness to Blood and Guts afterward. No word on when it'll officially be happening, but I assume it's soon. This does feel like the right time for the first women's Blood and Guts matchup. Overall ShowIn addition to the usual setup for Dynamite, we got plenty of other stuff that was worthwhile and entertaining. We found out we're finally getting women's Blood and Guts, The Acclaimed are in the process of reuniting, Death Riders were dominant and Fletcher vs. Komander stole the show. All in all, they filled the two hours nicely and announced some more matches for the grand 6-Year Anniversary edition of Dynamite.
