Jon Moxley def. Daniel GarciaMoxley and Garcia have had a handful of matches over the years and Garcia has never been able to beat Moxley. This was no exception, but it was the usual very good match from them, nonetheless. Garcia was once again frustrated during his post-match promo because he can't win when it matters most. As I've said before, I really hope this isn't leading to Garcia joining The Death Riders because that's the last thing he or the group needs. FTR def. Adam Priest and "The Dynamite Kid" Tommy BillingtonFTR must have really liked working with Priest last week on Collision and requested to face him again, with Priest this time teaming with Billington (who I don't think we've seen on AEW TV in a while). This was the well-wrestled match you'd expect from these two teams, but obviously, the outcome was never in doubt. They briefly addressed Adam Copeland and Christian Cage afterward, but they didn't show up. Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron, AEW Women's World Champion "Timeless" Toni Storm, Interim ROH Women's World Television Champion Mina Shirakawa def. Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart, Skye Blue and Thekla) and Megan BayneNeedless to say, the "all-star" billing means nothing at this point, and all of these multi-person tag team matches blend together because we see them so often. Despite that, this was an entertaining outing. You'd think the heels would've gone over to build some momentum, but apparently not. Post-match, Storm challenged Statlander, Thekla and Jamie Hayter to a four-way match for her AEW Women's World Championship at All Out. That should be fun, but it lacks storyline sense since Storm had no reason to do that. The Don Callis Family Addressed AEW World Champion "Hangman" Adam PageDon Callis, Kyle Fletcher and Josh Alexander represented The Don Callis Family here. It helped to not have a million random members standing behind them while they spoke. This was a fairly simple segment, but the mic work was solid and it established that Page vs. Fletcher will very likely be the AEW World Championship main event at All Out. I also appreciated getting to hear from Alexander for a change before he faces Page on Wednesday's Dynamite. Konosuke Takeshita def. Mark BriscoeThe idea was that Briscoe would earn himself a shot at the AEW TNT Championship had he won here. Once Fletcher all but confirmed he'd be challenging Page at the event, that heavily hinted at Briscoe losing here. They had a strong main event nonetheless and MJF costing Briscoe the win was logical after Briscoe prevented him from winning the AEW World title at Forbidden Door. Post-match, Briscoe agreed to take on MJF at All Out but said the stipulation was to be determined. Overall ShowAEW went with the "less is more" approach for this show and it worked out wonderfully. The four matches we got felt meaningful (even though the "all-star" stuff has been beyond overdone) and each of them received a ton of time. The promo segment with The Don Callis Family also served a storyline purpose. This was an above-average edition of Collision with a lot less filler than usual.
