AEW World Champion Jon Moxley Issued a Challenge to AEW World Trios Champion Samoa JoeThe Death Riders wreaked havoc to start the show by laying out everyone at ringside. That made sense after they suffered their first major setback on Wednesday's Dynamite. This would have been whatever had it not been for Moxley's challenge to Samoa Joe, who choked him out in that Dynamite main event. I don't know if we'll get it at Double or Nothing or when exactly, but I'm looking forward to that match and hope we can get some promo battles between them beforehand. Kevin Knight def. Lance ArcherArcher is the ultimate stepping stone in AEW, which is why I was surprised this lasted as long it did. Don't get me wrong, they had a super fun match in the time they were allotted, but I'm not sure anyone legitimately views Archer as a threat these days. On the bright side, I'm happy Knight has been consistently featured on AEW TV since signing and this was another step in the right direction for him. The Don Callis Family (Josh Alexander and NEVER Openweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita) def. IWGP Strong Openweight Champion Tomohiro Ishii and Rocky RomeroIshii and Romero successfully teamed up on a recent edition of ROH TV. As I've said before, I don't think I need to refer to them as members of The Conglomeration at this point considering that group hasn't been represented in any form or fashion in a while. Nonetheless, this was a nice tag team affair. The focus was on the post-match angle with Trent Beretta returning to rejoin The Don Callis Family and Romero also joining for some reason. Megan Bayne def. Rebecca Scott and Ashley Vox in a 2-on-1 Handicap MatchBayne is in the process of being built back up after losing to Toni Storm at Dynasty, so this was a step in the right direction from her. I realize Scott and Vox are enhancement talent, but it was impressive that Bayne was able to beat them both in a Handicap match. For what it's worth, we haven't seen her and Storm interact at all since Dynasty, so I'm curious if we are actually headed for a rematch like I thought we were. AEW TNT Champion Adam Cole def. Claudio CastagnoliThis was an open challenge from Cole. This was one of those matches that we missed out on years ago because Cole was never called up to WWE's main roster, but I'm glad we got it here. Cole just won the title, so I didn't think Castagnoli had much of a chance of winning, but it was an enjoyable outing, nonetheless. Castagnoli post-match meltdown was logical after he also lost the AEW World Trios Championship on Wednesday's Dynamite. La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush, Dralistico and The Beast Mortos) def. K.M., Rosario Grillo and LSGThere's been so many start-and-stop pushes for LFI at this point that it's difficult to care. I want them to get an aggressive push as a trio and chase the AEW World Trios Championship, but time will tel. The Opps capturing the Trios titles on Dynamite was a positive sign, though. This was a straight-up squash for LFI as it should have been with them making quick work of their opponents. Nick Wayne def. Komander to Win the ROH World Television ChampionshipI don't know why this had to happen on Collision and not on ROH TV or at Supercard of Honor, but I guess they wanted to give Wayne a meaningful win for a change on AEW TV so he'll feel like more of a threat when he inevitably faces Christian Cage (based on the tension teased between them as of late). This was a very good sprint with the two working really well together. Kris Statlander and Julia Hart def. Harley Cameron and AEW TBS/NJPW Strong Women's/RevPro Undisputed British Women's Champion Mercedes MoneI'm not sure why Statlander wouldn't have teamed with Jamie Hayter since they're facing each other in the next round of the Women's Owen Hart Cup on next Wednesday's Dynamite, but that's not to say Hart was a poor choice for the spot. This was a well-worked main event designed to give Statlander an additional momentum boost. Mone and Cameron continuing to have great chemistry as reluctant partners (okay, Mone is the reluctant one, not Cameron) was my top takeaway. Overall ShowNeedless to say, Collision aired on Thursday this week instead of Saturday because of WWE WrestleMania, though they obviously won't admit that on air. It was the right call to ensure the episode didn't get overlooked, but it probably will, anyway. If you tuned in, you were treated to two entertaining hours of wrestling. It was essentially the leftovers from an excellent Dynamite on Wednesday night, but they made the show worthwhile with quality action throughout the night.
