"Hangman" Adam Page and AEW World Trios Champions The Opps Fended Off The Death RidersI really enjoyed the portion of the segment where it was just Page and Jon Moxley going back and forth on the mic. I wanted more of that out of their feud and less of the nonsense with Death Riders (who have admittedly been more bearable as of late), but what we've gotten has largely been good. The rest of the segment played out just fine and established that Page vs. Moxley at All In will be a Texas Death match. We know there's going to be a ton of interference and shenanigans, so they may as well make it all legal. AEW TBS/RevPro Undisputed British Women's/EWA Women's/CMLL World Women's Champion Mercedes Mone def. Mina Shirakawa (RevPro Undisputed British Women's Championship, EWA Women's Championship and CMLL World Women's Championship Were Not Defended)This was a hot opener. The action was obviously excellent, but it also benefited from an unpredictable outcome. Was it unrealistic to think Mone would suffer her first loss in AEW right before All In? Maybe, but there was certainly a chance Mone would drop the AEW TBS Championship in case she wins the AEW Women's World Championship. It wasn't a completely decisive win for Mone, either, so in addition to having a strong showing, Shirakawa was protected in defeat. If Mone vs. Toni Storm at All In is anywhere near as great as this, we'll be in for something special. MJF def. AR Fox, Anthony Bowens and Brody King in a Four-Way Match to Earn the No. 2 Spot in the Men's Casino Gauntlet Match at All In; The Hurt Syndicate Attacked JetSpeedI've seen enough four-ways from both WWE and AEW recently to last a lifetime, not to mention that I don't think a match to determine the second entrant in the men's Casino Gauntlet was necessary. Putting that stuff aside, this was the fun four-way you'd expect considering the level of talent involved, even if it wasn't always pretty. MJF winning was pretty predictable yet the right call so he can start out with Mark Briscoe, who he teased feuding with last week. Speaking of Briscoe, he spoke on the stage afterward. Additionally, I wouldn't argue Hurt Syndicate relentlessly beating down JetSpeed did much to get them more over. Konosuke Takeshita and The Young Bucks def. Paragon (Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong) and ROH World Champion BandidoBandido and Paragon don't win enough on AEW TV for them to be viewed as a legitimate threat to anyone, so I automatically assumed they were losing here. Otherwise, this was a fun sprint. Takeshita picking up the win for his team gave him an additional momentum boost before he challenges Bandido for the ROH World Championship at Supercard of Honor. I'm glad there will be consequences for Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland if they lose (being unable to fight for the AEW World Championship for one year) against the Bucks at All In so it's not just the Bucks' positions as EVPs at stake. The Bucks would've been ridiculously dumb to agree to that without getting anything in return. Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay def. La Faccion Ingobernable (Dralistico and The Beast Mortos)Ospreay and Strickland stuck around after their post-match promo from right before this. LFI had less of a chance of winning here than Paragon and Bandido did, but it was another well-wrestled affair, nonetheless. The key was Strickland and Ospreay once again proving that they are a cohesive unit, so it was successful in that respect. Much like the six-man tag team match, this had the "Heroes vs. Villains" tagline to promote the new Superman movie out next weekend. AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada def. Kota Ibushi (Non-Title)Who would've ever thought that Okada vs. Ibushi would be headlining Dynamite when the show started 300 episodes ago? Crazy. Ibushi being back in top form physically is wonderful to see and Okada was the perfect opponent for him. This was a blast in the time allotted and Kenny Omega's post-match return and reunion with Ibushi was the icing on the cake. Do we get a Golden Lovers match on the final Dynamite before All In next week? Overall ShowAs the 300th edition of Dynamite, this felt like the special occasion that it should have with some entertaining matches, quality mic work and more build for All In. Six matches are now official for the main card, but I'd be shocked if they didn't add at least one or two more before next Saturday (I'm not advocating for it, but it's unlike AEW to have such a small pay-per-view card). Bonus points to the lively crowd in attendance for this episode, their energy made it even better than it already was.
