"Hangman" Adam Page Addressed the AudiencePage delivered his entire promo in Spanish, which was pretty impressive, and it wasn't a short promo, either. From what Excalibur translated of it on commentary, it was solid stuff and the crowd ate it up. Page has successfully regained the organic momentum he had back in 2021 and thus it's going to be that much more disappointing if/when he doesn't beat Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at All In. Atlantis, Atlantis Jr., AEW TNT Champion Adam Cole, Temlario, Daniel Garcia, Brody King and ROH World Champion Bandido def. Dax Harwood, Volador Jr., Hechicero and The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Josh Alexander, Kyle Fletcher and Lance Archer)I appreciate Tony Khan's attempt to get as many people on the show as possible, but doing a 14-man tag team match was a tad excessive. On the bright side, this was a ton of fun. They surprisingly took their time with it instead of rushing through stuff, allowing everyone to shine. My only nitpick is that the finish felt abrupt. Perhaps Atlantis pinning Harwood means that mini feud will continue. AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada def. Mark Briscoe (Non-Title)Briscoe is the perfect person to throw in situations like this because he's such a beloved babyfaces that crowds will rally behind him despite him having almost no chance of winning. Kenny Omega vs. Okada is obviously already officially for All In, so Okada winning was never in doubt, but Briscoe gave him a good fight in what was a nice match. Omega is still selling the Okada's atack from last week, hence why he didn't save Briscoe from being beat down afterward. Mistico def. MJF by DisqualificationMan, Mistico came off like a mega star in front of this crowd. I've seen his work in MLW over the last year, but this hit different (as the kids would say). It's amazing to think he was the original Sin Cara in WWE, where he never seemed to be a great fit. At any rate, this was a really entertaining outing. I hated the non-finish, but I'm willing to give AEW a pass because they don't do it often. The post-match chaos hinted at an eventual multi-man tag team match. Hologram def. Lio Rush, Mascara Dorada and Ricochet in a 4 Million Pesos High-Flying Four-Way MatchI hate wrestling matches were money is on the line because the money just isn't something fans have an incentive to care about. That aside, this was the exciting spot-fest you'd expect from these four. Hologram remains undefeated. Meanwhile, it was weird to see Ricochet in there because he should be above this stuff. Instead, he's directionless at the moment even after defeating Briscoe in a Stretcher match at Double or Nothing. AEW TBS/RevPro Undisputed British Women's/EWA Women's Champion Mercedes Mone def. Zeuxis to Win the CMLL World Women's Championship (AEW TBS Championship, RevPro Undisputed British Women's Championship and EWA Women's Championship Were Not Defended)Mone has so many damn belts at this point that it's becoming annoying to include every title she currently holds in my reviews. I can now add the CMLL World Women's Championship to the long list of titles, too. Okay, enough complaining. This was a quality contest, but it came together too quickly to feel like a big deal. I also can't help but think that it'll be another belt she holds but doesn't defend. The post-match angle with Toni Storm going after Mone was well done. The Death Riders (AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta), The Young Bucks and The Beast Mortos def. Swerve Strickland, Will Ospreay and AEW World Trios Champions The Opps (Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs)It was a bit redundant to do a 10-man tag team match and a 14-man tag team match on the same show, but at least it was enjoyable and furthered a few feuds. They kept the pace consistent throughout and it was cool that Mortos got to take part (replacing the previously-advertised Claudio Castagnoli, though I personally would've had him replace Yuta). Moxley picking up the win was a slight letdown, but I understand wanting to keep him strong heading into All In. Page helping the babyfaces fend off the heels to close the show made up for it. Overall ShowArena Mexico made for an electric atmosphere, especially with how hot the crowd was throughout the night. Fyter Fest and Summer Blockbuster weren't much better than your average Dynamite, but this was a kickass show with plenty of excellent action. Hopefully AEW visits Mexico more often. I just wish we found out more about the All In card considering it's only a few weeks away and only three matches are confirmed as of now.
