Darby Allin and Brody King BrawledThe show opened with back-to-back pre-taped promos from Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson, so it was weird that those were immediately followed by this talking segment, but I'm glad we got it. King accepted Allin's WrestleDream open challenge on Collision and while most fans are probably aware of their history, it was smart to remind them just in case. This was short and sweet and served as effective hype final hype for their upcoming match. Hologram def. KomanderIf you expected a spot-fest from these two, you got what you wanted. Komander is typically booked as a stepping stone for the bigger stars and thus the outcome was never in doubt here, but it was fun for what it was and Hologram picked up his first win on Dynamite. He was laid out by Rush, Dralistico and The Beast Mortos afterward, a trio that will apparently be managed by Jake Roberts going forward after Don Callis traded Rush for Lance Archer. Uhm, okay. Daniel Garcia Announced He's Staying in AEWGarcia hasn't been around since losing to MJF at All Out, seemingly because his contract status was in question and it was unknown if he was sticking around or not. Well, we found out here he's not going anywhere. Sure, he would've been a quality addition to WWE, but I feel like he has the higher ceiling in AEW right now, not to mention he's young enough that he can always go to WWE down the road. This was a good, passionate promo from him and I hope he continues to ascend the ranks. Willow Nightingale def. Saraya, Nyla Rose and Jamie Hayter in an AEW Women's World Championship No. 1 Contender's Four-Way MatchIt was supposed to be Nightingale and Britt Baker fighting for a shot at Mariah May at WrestleDream, but it was revealed beforehand that Baker wasn't cleared due to an illness. Having Nightingale go through three former AEW Women's World Champions was still pretty impressive. The match had its moments, but there were some awkward spots as well. Nightingale winning was the right call because her against May has been teased for a few weeks. Additionally, Penelope Ford returned to attack Hayter, so we now know Hayter's next feud. Jay White def. Cody ChhunChhun was a "local athlete" that White thankfully beat with ease. It's worth noting that White did nothing differently here that would make you think he's a babyface now aside from him feuding with a heel in Adam Page. This was the squash that it needed to be and White's post-match promo set up his match with Page for WrestleDream. By the way, White mentioned that Page was one of two people who derailed his road to the AEW World Championship. I'm blanking on who the second person is. AEW TBS Champion and NJPW Strong Women's Champion Mercedes Mone def. Emi SakuraIf you were wondering what Sakura did to earn an opportunity at both of Mone's titles, it was explained that she's celebrating 30 years in wrestling, despite not ever winning a match that matters on AEW TV. Yes, seriously. There was nothing wrong with this from an in-ring standpoint, but it didn't do much for me, personally. I'm much more interested in Kris Statlander going after her next. Ricochet Saved AEW International Champion Will Ospreay From Konosuke TakeshitaIt was announced after last week's Dynamite that Ospreay, Ricochet and Takeshita will meet in a three-way for the AEW International Championship at WrestleDream. This segment was used to build toward that and finally cement Ospreay's split from The Don Callis Family (he left a while ago but was still on decent terms with them), so it was well done. That three-way could steal the show on Saturday and is one of the only matches I'm actually excited for. AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson and AEW World Trios Champion Wheeler Yuta def. AEW World Trios Champions Pac and Claudio CastagnoliI've gone back and forth with referring to Jon Moxley's crew as Blackpool Combat Club, but there was no mention of Pac and Castagnoli going by that name here, so I'll drop it for this week. Yuta had yet to definitely turn against his fellow champs, so I figured there was a chance he'd turn on Danielson here instead, but I was happy they didn't go that route. This was the well-wrestled main event you'd expect from these four that also built toward the WrestleDream main event. Overall ShowHow the hell was this a Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite when only one match had a championship up for grabs? I realize WrestleDream is coming up on Saturday night, but that's pretty ridiculous. Speaking of WrestleDream, AEW has had several special shows in recent weeks, but the build for the pay-per-view has been weak and this go-home show didn't help. It was a solid albeit uninspired effort on the whole.
