The Don Callis Family (IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita and AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada) def. Max Caster and Anthony BowensIt was the battle of teams that currently aren't cohesive units. Caster and Bowens have won recently, but there was no way they were beating Okada and Takeshita here, nor should they have. Despite the predictability, they had a really good opener that furthered two stories simultaneously. That first Okada vs. Takeshita should be special and I hope it happens at Full Gear (partially because I might be there in attendance). CMLL World Women’s Champion and AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone def. Olympia (AEW TBS Championship Was Not Defended)If you only follow AEW and don't keep up with all of the other titles Mone is winning and retaining in other promotions, it's easy to forget that Mone still holds the CMLL World Women's Championship. Of course, no one actually expected her to lose to Olympia, but I thought they had a nice match in the time they were allotted with Mone's Full Gear opponent Kris Statlander sitting in on commentary. Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir def. Nixon Newell and Miranda AlizeTo my knowledge, Newell and Alize aren't signed to any sort of a deal to AEW, but I'd have no issue with them being used as the occasional enhancement team for the women's tag team division. I doubt they'd get hired off this performance alone because they were swiftly squashed by Bayne and Shafir, but it was what it needed to be to establish Bayne and Shafir as a dominant force going into the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship Tournament, The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe and Roderick Strong) and Komander def. La Faccion Inglobernable (Dralistico, The Beast Mortos and ROH World Tag Team Champion Sammy Guevara)Strong is officially a member of The Conglomeration at this point, right? And Komander's not? I don't know, it's possible to keep track, and it's not like it matters much, anyway. We found out on Wednesday's Dynamite that it will be Darby Allin and The Conglomeration vs. The Death Riders in Blood and Guts, so this was designed to give The Conglomeration a momentum boost before then. I'm not sure why LFI was fed to them since they're in the process of being built up over in Ring of Honor. Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn and Ace Austin) def. MxM TV (Johnny TV and MxM Collection)Bang Bang Gang have been on ice for many months with Jay White and Colten Gunn out injured, though I don't think any of these three have been hurt lately. This win gets them back on the right track, but beating MxM TV means nothing, so consistency will be key with them because they're not featured nearly enough. This was basically a squash and at least it was kept on the shorter side. ROH World Champion and AEW World Tag Team Champion Bandido def. Mascara DoradaWhen this was announced on last week's ROH TV, I thought we'd be getting it on ROH TV this past week, not on Collision. However, I'm not complaining because Collision is obviously a significantly bigger platform and they deserved it. They had another excellent outing and I'm glad they received as much time as they did. The ROH World Championship is hardly an attraction these days, but this was a top-notch main event and a reminder that Bandido is one of the best wrestlers of 2025. Overall ShowThis was a tag team-heavy show, so if you enjoy tag team matches, this edition of Collision was for you. It wasn't all that significant of a show, but some storylines moved along and there was build for Blood and Guts, Dynamite next week and Full Gear. From an in-ring standpoint, the opener and the main event were the highlights of the episode, specifically the main event. Check that one out if you have 20-plus minutes to spare.
