Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy def. The Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia)

While we technically haven't seen this exact match before, we've seen almost every iteration of these four against each other, so I can't say this did much for me despite it being well wrestled. It basically existed to give Allin an additional momentum boost and further build toward him and The Conglomeration facing Death Riders in Blood and Guts in two weeks, which was made official a little later on.

FTR def. JetSpeed, The Young Bucks and Jurassic Express in an AEW World Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender's Four-Way Tag Team Match

We just saw these teams compete in an eight-man tag team match on Saturday's Collision, but it was every team for themselves here and it helped that the stakes were higher. It was the great bout you'd expect given the level of talent involved. Could FTR possibly beat Brodido for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Full Gear and that would make their inevitable rematch with Adam Copeland and Christian Cage for the belts?

AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita Teased Tension During a Don Callis Family Summit

It will never not be ridiculous seeing all of the members of The Don Callis Family in one place, and this wasn't even everyone! The "summit" itself was an afterthought, but the segment was effective in establishing more tension between Okada and Takeshita. They have to be getting to the match soon, but the question is whether it happens at Full Gear or if they wait until the Continental Classic the following month.

Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O'Reilly Ended in a Double Count-Out

I really liked the match these two had last week and I'm glad they had a chance to run it back here. That tells me they're not giving up on O'Reilly's mini push so quickly, especially since we got another non-finish here. I hope this is building to O'Reilly eventually beating Moxley because Moxley would gain nothing from beating O'Reilly. They had another enjoyable outing before the Blood and Guts match was announced immediately afterward by Allin.

Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron Saved AEW Women's World Champion Kris Statlander from AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone and ROH Women's World Champion Athena

Mone brought Statlander out to the ring after attacking her in the back and got an assist from Athena (who she'll be teaming with in the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship Tournament) before Nightingale and Cameron made the save. It was a simple segment, but it not only hyped Mone vs. Statlander at Full Gear but also Mone and Athena vs. Nightingale and Cameron in the first round of the tourney.

Sisters of Sin def. Queen Aminata and Jamie Hayter in an AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarterfinal Match

This was a strong start to the tournament. Sisters of Sin/Triangle of Madness were already feuding with Hayter and Aminata anyway, and there was never any doubt they'd deliver when the bell rang. Sisters of Sin are an actual team compared to Aminata and Hayter, so I had no issue with them advancing. Thekla cost Hayter the win, so it appears that program isn't over yet.

AEW World Trios Champion Samoa Joe def. Hook, Ricochet and Bobby Lashley in an AEW World Championship No. 1 Contender's Fright Night 4-Way Fight

Lashley, Joe and Ricochet have all interacted recently and have bad blood with each other, but Hook being a part of this was very random, especially since he's largely been relegated to teaming with Eddie Kingston since returning. Obviously, from a booking standpoint, he was only there to eat the loss. This was another fun four-way. It had the predictable outcome yet the right one, and Page swerving The Opps by disguising himself with a different Halloween costume than what they were expecting was well done.

Overall Show

I thought this was a noticeable improvement over last week's show. Sure, we getting a lot of the same storylines as we did going into WrestleDream, but they moved that stuff forward nicely on this edition of Dynamite. Above all else, I'm a sucker for the Halloween theming and this show had plenty of it without going overboard and making it feel like a phoned-in holiday episode.
