Thunder Rosa def. Harleygram (Harley Cameron)Rosa previously beat Cameron in a Day of the Dead match on Collision earlier this month, but Cameron came in this match wearing a mask pretending she was someone else. It was more dumb fun from Cameron, and while it isn't necessarily my cup of tea and I find it to be terrible television, it seems to be getting over with the AEW faithful. This was another solid match from these two, but I'm just ready to see Rosa do something more meaningful. Mascara Dorada, Atlantis Jr. and Katsuyori Shibata def. Action Andretti and Top FlightI guess the point of this match was to give some of the CMLL guys more exposure as well as the rub from winning for their team, even though it means very little to beat Andretti these days. If you look at it from that lens, this was a nice-paced match with enjoyable action. Why not just have Dorada and Atlantis beat Top Flight? Why unnecessarily make this a six-man tag team matchup? The Beast Mortos def. SerpenticoIt was weird seeing Mortos in action after he already wrestled on Collision which aired right before this, but I assume these shows weren't taped back-to-back. He lost to Kyle Fletcher on Collision, so this provided him with the rebound victory he needed heading into the remainder of the Continental Classic. This should have been more of a squash for Mortos instead of lasting as long as it did. Hechicero def. KomanderOf course, Hechicero is another CMLL competitor that has received plenty of airtime on AEW TV this year. He's very talented, but I would've appreciated this getting a bit of buildup in advance to justify it serving as the main event regardless of how good it ended up being. They did work well together, though. I can't say I'm shocked Hechicero won since the CMLL guys need to win once in a while in AEW to avoid looking like total losers. Overall ShowThe edition of Collision that preceded this show exceeded my expectations thanks to the Continental Classic matches that were featured, but this edition of Rampage didn't feature any of that. It was basically an hour of lucha libre. That's totally fine, but it obviously wasn't an eventful episode whatsoever. I know that's been the norm with Rampage for a long time, so this isn't anything new, but in case you were curious, it was another skippable show this week.
