The Conglomeration (Kyle O'Reilly and Orange Cassidy) def. The Undisputed Kingdom (Mike Bennett and Matt Taven)Just when you think The Conglomeration vs. The Undisputed Kingdom are done feuding, it continues! Ugh. This was the usual well-wrestled match from these four, so I'm tired of this combination, especially since the outcome never really changes. The Conglomeration don't gain much from this win, but it was interesting that Undisputed Kingdom showed them respect afterward. I assume a face turn is imminent for them if it wasn't already official. MxM Collection Attacked The AcclaimedThe Acclaimed were on their way to the ring for a match when they were attacked by MxM Collection from behind mid-rap. This was the most aggressive we've seen them since they debuted in AEW and it was a refreshing change of pace for them. They also challenged The Acclaimed to a match at WrestleDream and promised a third man would be in their corner. It was confirmed later on to be Zero Hour pre-show. I appreciate the effort they've put into making this feud matter. Kris Statlander def. AmiraIf you were wondering like I was why Statlander would turn back babyface after just turning heel a few months ago, she explained in a pre-match video package that she lost who she was after Mercedes Mone arrived in AEW, causing Willow Nightingale to become obsessed with Mone and Statlander to join Stokley Hathaway. It was certainly an attempt at an explanation. This was the straightforward squash that it should have been. The Beast Mortos def. The ButcherTony Khan announced on X a few days ago that Mortos will face Hologram in a two-out-of-three falls match at WrestleDream. No, I don't have the slightest idea why. They were involved in that three-way match on the Grand Slam edition of Collision two weeks ago, but I wouldn't necessarily call that a feud. Khan just wants to get his new toy on the WrestleDream card, let's be honest. This was a fine hoss fight, but it lasted too long and the crowd largely didn't care. Lance Archer def. Matt BranniganWe found out on Wednesday's Dynamite that Jake Roberts traded Archer to Don Callis in exchange for Rush, Dralistico and Mortos (Callis only managed Rush of those three, but I guess that was enough). I like Archer, but pairing him with Callis doesn't make me see him as any more of a threat than he has been for the last few years. These quick enhancement matches with him have been done to death and accomplish nothing when he can't win when it matters most. Bryan Keith def. Rocky RomeroThis was not in any way main event material, but I guess it's a match worthy of headlining Rampage. If nothing else, I'm glad it had some story behind it with Chris Jericho's crew confronting Romero backstage on Dynamite and playing mind games with him. Keith winning was a pleasant surprise seeing as how he's been the fall guy for Jericho and Bill for months now. It was a quality contest for what it was. Overall ShowThis was the final stop before WrestleDream tomorrow night as there's no Collision this week, and similar to Wednesday's Dynamite, it wasn't exactly the strongest go-home show. Five matches and none of them were worth a damn. There was some hype for the pay-per-view and new match announcements, but nothing that made me more excited for the event than I was previously. Per usual, do not bother with this episode.
