 Samoa Joe def. Nick WayneJoe's presence on AEW TV was desperately missed. The outcome was never in doubt here, but it was a solid showcase for Joe and Wayne scored enough offense for it not to be a total squash. It feels like Hook has been feuding with The Patriarchy for a decade, but I assume the feud won't be over at least until we get the inevitable six-man tag team match putting him, Joe and Katsuyori Shibata against The Patriarchy. Maybe after that we can finally move on.

 Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley def. Nia JaxI'm glad WWE got the most predictable match of the night out of the way first, but that isn't to say it was bad by any means. In fact, this was quite the enjoyable opener, which shouldn't be too surprising following the quality contest they had at Elimination Chamber last year. I maintain that there was no reason for this to exist other than to fill a spot on this card.
 Joe Tessitore Interviewed Undisputed WWE Champion Cody RhodesI know this segment was announced earlier in the day, but beyond that, since nothing was advertised with either Rhodes or Kevin Owens prior to this episode, I assumed they'd be relegated to something small (if they were going to be featured at all) considering they're having their contract signing at Saturday Night's Main Event. Don't get me wrong, this was a quality promo from Rhodes and Tessitore also did well in his role, but I don't know if it was necessary if we're going to hear from Rhodes again tomorrow night.
 Santino Marella Revealed Matt Cardona as TNA World Champion Joe Hendry's First ChallengerHendry kept his championship celebration short and sweet and that's totally fine. He set the tone for his title reign and I like that we didn't have to wait long to find out from Marella who Hendry would have his first title defense against in the night's main event. Cardona hasn't been gone from TNA very long (I believe his last match was at Bound for Glory in October), but his return was a cool moment, nonetheless.
 ROH World Television Champion Komander def. QT MarshallMarshall earned this opportunity by outlasting Komander in a Proving Ground match a few weeks ago. This probably should have served as the main event since it was easily the most important thing on the entire episode, but oh well. It made for a fun opener, if nothing else. I know I've dunked quite a bit on Marshall in the past, but he's been playing his role really well since returning to the ring late last year. This was another quality contest from him. Lee Johnson emerged afterward to stare down Komander, who he'll fight in a Proving Ground match next week.
