TNA X-Division Champion Chris Sabin def. Jason Hotch (Non-Title)Sabin beat John Skyler two weeks ago and this was an easy win for him as well. That's not to say it was total dominance from Sabin, though. Hotch scored some offense and looked impressive, even if the outcome was never in doubt. I like how they're saving Mustafa Ali's TNA debut for No Surrender, where he'll challenge Sabin for the TNA X-Division Championship. They've effectively built it up through vignettes for Ali.

Taya Valkyrie def. Sussy Love in an ROH Women's World Television Championship Tournament First-Round MatchApologies for repeating myself from last week's opener, but it's incredibly illogical in my opinion to put women in a title tournament who are not signed to Ring of Honor or AEW. I'd be one thing if they were names people recognized, but I have no idea who Sussy Love is. What's weirder is that this was a competitive contest with Love scoring way more offense than she needed to. At least Valkyrie went over in the end.
Jinder Mahal def. Apollo CrewsWhat happened to all of those fans clamoring for Mahal to win the World Heavyweight Championship last month? Yes, some of those people were obviously trolling, but I can tell you for a fact that others were completely serious. Mahal has completely disappeared from Raw since facing Seth Rollins and I haven't heard a peep from those fans online since then. Hey, I'm not complaining. I would've rather seen Crews go over here, but it's Main Event, so it hardly matters. The match was perfectly fine for what it was.
FTR vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli) Ended in a Time-Limit DrawI was surprised this wasn't saved for Revolution, but it made sense once it went to the time-limit draw, meaning that will be where the rematch happens. Despite being at stake, this was an excellent opener. FTR never cease to deliver and Moxley and Castagnoli make for a terrific team. The time-limit draw didn't bother me personally, but AEW needs to be careful about not doing that too often considering we just got one two weeks ago.
