Chris Bey def. Rohit Raju, Suicide and Trey in a Four-Way MatchAlthough nothing was up for grabs, this free-for-all was designed to showcase the stars of the X-Division and kick off the evening on a high note. There was total nonstop action (see what I did there?) and everyone looked good. The TNA: One Night Only event didn't happen over WrestleMania weekend as planned, but I assume Suicide will be around at least for a little bit. Bey was the right winner as he's the freshest face of the bunch. Joseph P. Ryan def. Cousin JakeIf there's any upside to this new gimmick for Joey Ryan, it's that he's not doing the dumb penis shtick for right now. I can't say this match did much for me personally, but it was decent. I just would have shaved off a few minutes because it felt overly long, but I understand they wanted to kill time. Ryan picking up the victory was the only outcome that made sense. I'm not sure what Ryan does now, however, especially if they have a limited roster to work with.

Jimmy Havoc def. Shawn DeanDue to AEW dealing with a limited roster at the moment, Havoc has been all over Dark as well as Dynamite. Hey, he's great, so I'm not complaining. Dawn had a solid showing and Havoc went over in decisive fashion. This didn't last long at all, but it didn't need to. They got their stuff in and didn't overstay their welcome. This gave Havok a small momentum boost before he and Kip Sabian take on Best Friends this week on Dynamite. Best Friends def. Lee Johnson & MusaIt was fitting that Best Friends were in action coming off Havoc's match because of how, as previously mentioned, they'll be facing off on Wednesday night. Their shtick isn't the same without fans in the building, but they tried their best to make this fun. Johnson and Musa scored some offense and looked good in defeat. If I had to nitpick anything, Orange Cassidy was missed at ringside.
Bianca Belair def. CatalinaCatalina looked impressive against Asuka last week and had a solid showing here as well. Both ladies still need a bit more polishing, but all things considered, this was a pretty good match. Belair's athleticism and power was too much for Catalina to overcome, though Catlina scored a decent amount of offense before succumbing to defeat. I really hope WWE has a plan for Belair on the main roster aside from having her solely serve as The Street Profits' hype girl. Murphy def. Humberto CarrilloMurphy reestablished himself as Seth Rollins' "disciple" on Monday's Raw, which is the best call. There's still a lot more to explore there with the two of them. As for this outing, it was hard-hitting, fast-paced and very enjoyable. Like Belair and Catalina, Carrillo still has some rough edges he has to smooth out, but otherwise, he's a blast to watch and I thought he had quality chemistry with Murphy here. Murphy winning was the right result.
United States Champion Andrade, Angel Garza & Austin Theory Interrupted Rey MYsterio, Aleister Black & Apollo Crews on The VIP Lounge; Crews, Black & Mysterio def. Andrade, Garza & TheoryFrom in-ring competitor to commentator (see: last week's Main Event) to talk show host, MVP really does do it all in WWE. However, the role I want him in the most is as a manager (more on that later). None of the babyfaces got to talk much, but the six-man tag team match that followed was fun and ate up a good chunk of television time. I realize that the trio of Mysterio, Black and Crews needed the momentum boost heading into Money in the Bank (and Crews pinning Andrade was huge for him specifically), but it feels like Andrade losing far more often than he wins and thus it's difficult to take him and the rest of Zelina Vega's stable seriously. Nia Jax Stood Tall Over Asuka and Shayna BaszlerThese three were advertised to square off in a Triple Threat match on this show, but the bell never rang. Honestly, that might have been for the better. Not only are they all heels, I didn't expect their styles to mesh well whatsoever. The brawl we got instead was fine, and while I can understand why WWE would want Jax to be the last woman standing, she is easily the least compelling option to become Ms. Money in the Bank of everyone involved this year. And yes, that includes Dana Brooke, which is saying something.
