Talos and Daisy Kill def. Mecha Wolf and Alex MiseryWolf and Misery faced off in a No Disqualification match last month, and apparently it was such a war that they gained respect for each other and decided to form a team. I assume their respective connections with Vampiro have something to do with it as well, though only Misery came out with Vampiro later on and not Wolf. Nonetheless, they lost, but they worked well as partners. This was a decent opener. This win for Talos and Kill could get them back in championship contention.

Jey Uso Attacked World Heavyweight Champion Damian PriestThis was a great way to build more interest in their upcoming World Heavyweight Championship clash. I loved how genuine Priest came across in his promo and Uso was good in his role as well. It was weird that JD McDonagh was ready to jump Uso but stopped in his tracks when Uso accidentally hit Priest with a superkick. The Judgment Day teasing tension with Rhea Ripley being out injured for the foreseeable future is an interesting development.
Zero Hour: Trent Beretta def. Matt SydalI'm glad they didn't rush into Beretta vs. Orange Cassidy. It should be saved for Double or Nothing. Beretta hasn't even explained his actions yet. Sydal can always be counted on for a quality contest and was an easy opponent for Beretta to beat. Chuck Taylor came to Sydal's aid afterward and Beretta ran away when Cassidy started to make his entrance. I'm skeptical that Beretta's heel rush will last beyond their eventual one-on-one encounter.
Star Jr. def. VirusVirus represented Cesar Duran while Star Jr. represented Salina de la Renta. Star Jr. has made a handful of appearances recently in AEW and MLW, but I still didn't care about this match because I don't care about the feud between Duran and Renta. They're utilizing more talent from other promotions, but these matches largely mean nothing. That includes this one, despite being well worked while it lasted.
Rob Van Dam def. Komander, Isiah Kassidy and Lee Johnson in a High-Flying 420 Elimination Four-Way MatchHaving RVD in action on 4/20, despite him not being a regular on the roster, felt like a must. He also made the most sense to win here, especially with there not being anything at stake. This wasn't much different than the last four-way we got on Rampage a week or two ago, but the elimination stipulation made it stand out a bit more and it was fun for what it was, also serving as a comedown match following the chaotic Collision main event.
