Tyler Breeze def. Tehuti MilesMiles is one of the many Performance Center recruits who WWE has used a bunch of times as enhancement talent during these empty arena shows over the last few months. He stood out more than most but screams Velveteen Dream 2.0 to me with his eccentric look and mannerisms. I thought he performed well here, but this was designed to be an extended squash for Breeze and in that respect it served its purpose. Jack Gallagher def. Tony NeseI liked that they played up their history from the 205 Live Originals vs. NXT Cruiserweights match a few months ago, giving this main event meaning in the process (even though Nese basically helped him win against Isiah "Swerve" Scott on Wednesday's NXT). Both of these guys were heel the last time I checked, so while it was an odd dynamic, they worked a well-wrestled matchup with the right guy going over. It's possible they're telling a story with Nese losing so much lately, but he's been a part of the brand for so long that it's difficult to care.

The Miz and John Morrison Hosted Miz TV with OtisI'm still not entirely convinced WWE will do right by Otis as Mr. Money in the Bank, but at least he's off to a solid start. I liked the chemistry he had with Miz and Morrison here and I thought it was a decent segment overall. I don't think Otis never said specifically why Tucker couldn't make it and why he had to find someone else to team with instead against Miz and Morrison, but whatever the reason was, I assume it was purely storyline-driven so the stuff with Otis and Braun Strowman could happen. Elias def. King Corbin in an Intercontinental Championship Tournament Quarterfinal MatchI didn't care much for the WrestleMania match these two had a month ago and I can't say this was a vast improvement. The effort was there, but that's about it. The worst part is that it lasted over 15 minutes. Their best bet would've been to put on a short and sweet sprint. Instead, WWE likely wanted to drag this thing out in order to kill as much television time as possible. Elias advancing was a pleasant surprise, but it doesn't make Corbin look credible whatsoever before he faces Drew McIntyre on Monday's Raw.
Imperium (Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner) def. Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher to Win the NXT Tag Team ChampionshipRiddle and Thatcher have been a fun tandem over the last month and I thought they worked well with Imperium here. It was an enjoyable encounter that could have been even better with more time. However, Thatcher walking out on Riddle came out of nowhere. I know they weren't meant to be a permanent pairing, but this was the first time they've teased tension, so it seemed a bit random. It makes me wonder whether Riddle and Pete Dunne would have split up in similar fashion if Dunne was still around. As for Barthel and Aichner taking the titles, I like the move as they never cease to deliver and it adds more gold to the Imperium ranks. Tegan Nox def. Indi HartwellHartwell didn't get a chance to showcase her skills at all when she was swiftly squashed by Shayna Baszler on Raw recently, but I'm glad she got to shine briefly here before losing to Nox. She'll be one to watch going forward. This was a nice little match on the whole that allowed Nox to rebound from her tag team loss to Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez. Speaking of Kai, based off the vignette that aired for her later on, it's possible their program is not yet over.
Cody and Lance Archer BrawledOther than Cody driving the truck into the guardrail (which was lame), this was a strong segment to start the show. Roberts' comments about Brandi Rhodes are to sure to piss people off, but hey, he's a heel. What do you expect? The brawl between Cody and Archer was well done and I liked how it ended in Cody getting the upper hand with Archer and Roberts retreating. Needless to say, I'm more excited for their match than any other at Double or Nothing. Best Friends def. Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus)I'd argue these are two of the more popular teams in AEW's tag tam division, yet neither of them are remotely close to AEW World Tag Team Championship contention according to the current rankings. Despite that, this was a very enjoyable match. Fenix attacking Orange Cassidy served as hype for the Casino Ladder matchup at Double or Nothing (as they'll both be participating) and Wardlow attacking Marko Stunt afterward served as hype for MJF vs. Jungle Boy, so this managed to accomplish quite a bit.
