By Carson Koschik I've said this before, but you never really realize how good wrestling is today until you pay attention. This week featured an exceptional Payback PPV, an awesome Raw, a great Smackdown, and the beginning of the Bound for Glory series. But what matches were the cream of the crop? Let's see. #10. Sin Cara vs. Antonio Cesaro (WWE Main Event) Under the tutelage of Zeb Colter, newly formed American patriot Antonio Cesaro took on Sin Cara in a fun match on Main Event. While we like to joke about Sin Cara's infamous early botching days, the fact is that the Mexican sensation has adapted to the WWE style, and can put on some great matches. In a match of strength vs. speed, Antonio Cesaro prevailed over Sin Cara with the Neutralizer, but not before taking huricanranas and arm drags galore first. #9. Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles - Bound for Glory Match (TNA Impact) In what was probably the only noteworthy match on TNA, long time rivals Samoa Joe and AJ Styles went one on one in the Bound for Glory series. While the time limit ending was complete crap, Joe and AJ still put on a pretty good match, even if AJ's new slow pace restricts what he was known for.

Randy Orton takes Daniel Bryan to his ultimate limit.
By Graham "GSM" Matthews Tensions Boiled Over Between Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton Following the weak finish to their No Disqualification match on Monday's Raw, I'm glad Bryan made mention of the fact that he wished to continue but the officials disallowed him from doing so. Orton, too, provided solid mic work here and set up the main event match nicely. It appeared as if Bryan was the one who was acting more heelish, which worries me. I hope they are teasing a Bryan heel turn only to surprisingly turn Orton in the end. Only time will tell as far as that goes. Sheamus def. Cody Rhodes w/Damien Sandow This match received a bit more time than their initial encounter a few weeks ago on Raw. Rhodes got enough offense in that it wasn't considered a total squash when Sheamus won. It was obvious from the start that Sheamus would be going over, but Rhodes still looked strong in defeat. Sandow attacking The Celtic Warrior following the contest was very well done and a good way to further his recent momentum. By Graham "GSM" Matthews Opening Segment Jeff Hardy winning the fan poll didn't come as much of a surprise, and having him pick Bobby Roode as his opponent was logical. I was hoping that having every participant in the Bound For Glory Series in the ring at the same time meant we were going to see a battle royal featuring them all (similar to last year), but no such luck. The post-promo brawl was rather awkward and the segment would have been better off without it going down. Mr. Anderson def. Joseph Park to Earn 7 Points in the Bound For Glory Series Given who was involved, I wasn't expecting much from this match, but I was surprised to see Park get as much offense in as he did. It's pretty pathetic that Anderson had to resort to outside interference in order to score the victory, but I guess it could have been worse. Furthermore, I understand it was done to further the story-line between Anderson and D.O.C., who foreshadowed a face turn last week as well. Austin Aries def. Jay Bradley to Earn 7 Points in the Bound For Glory Series It was cool to see Bradley call out a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, which made him look gutsy. Aside from that, there was nothing memorable about this match. It was nice to see Aries pick up the win, but it could be seen coming from a mile away. I don't see Bradley obtaining many points in the Series, but only time will tell. By Graham "GSM" Matthews It was revealed no more than an hour ago that Matt Striker (a.k.a. Matthew Kaye) has been released from his WWE contract. He stated via Twitter that he was informed that his contract will not be renewed by WWE and is now available for appearances and interviews. Striker tweeted the following earlier today: "Was just informed by @WWE that my contract will not be renewed. I am now available 4 appearances, signings seminars & wrestling. Deep breath" He followed up with this tweet a short time later: "Thanks for all the support. To book plz email ForMattStriker@gmail.com @WWE has your entertainment first in their mind.
