#AskGSM Edition #448: Was AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door Still a Success Despite All the Injuries?6/29/2022 #AskGSM is a weekly Q&A video where I, Graham "GSM" Matthews, answer fan questions from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in regards to the world of wrestling. Nothing is off limits, and this week's edition touches upon a variety of topics including:

Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade def. Katana Chance and Kayden Carter in an NXT Women's Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender's MatchThe commentators explained that Perez still has her automatic title shot whenever she wants to cash it in and this number one contender's match was separate from that. Yes, it sounds stupid (and it is), but Carmelo Hayes already did something similar when he challenged for the NXT Tag Team Championship last fall and he hadn't used his NXT Breakout Tournament title shot for that, either. The match itself was well wrestled and served as a good opener. I still can't bring myself to care about Chance and Carter, but they always hold their own regardless of who they're in the ring with. Perez and Jade will challenge for the tag titles at The Great American Bash next week.
Willow Nightingale def. Ashley D'AmboiseIt seems like Nightingale is becoming more of a regular on AEW TV these days in her alliance with Athena and Kris Statlander and I'm all for that. There's been no word on whether she's officially been signed by AEW or not, but surely this has to be leading to that, right? As for D'Amboise, she's always been fine in the enhancement role for AEW and she made Nightingale look great here. More of Nightingale on any AEW show is always a positive.
Kyle Davis Interviewed Matt CardonaIt's great that Cardona is continuing to make appearances on Powerrr while injured as his presence alone adds a lot to the program. He's been killing it in his current role and thus this was the usual quality promo from him as he put new NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Trevor Murdoch on notice and hyped up the rest of his faction. It was a simple, well-executed promo that left me looking forward to his eventual return to the ring.
Riddle Won a Last Chance Battle Royal to Qualify for the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder MatchAs soon as Riddle made his entrance, you had to know he was winning this thing. By the way, how sad is it that AJ Styles didn't get a televised entrance? I know he lasted until the very end and The Miz eliminated him from the outside, but I maintain that Styles has never felt less important in WWE. This was your average Battle Royal, though there were some fun moments in the final few minutes. Riddle advancing to Money in the Bank made the most sense after his interaction with Seth Rollins last week.
