Chase U (Andre Chase and Duke Hudson) def. The O.C. (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows), Legado del Fantasma (Angel and Berto), and Malik Blade & Edris Enofe in an NXT Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender's Gauntlet MatchWe've seen some stellar Gauntlet matches in WWE over the years. This was not one of them. That's not to say it was bad by any means, but the mini matches were too short to mean anything and they largely blended together. Three of the five teams being main roster teams really exposes how weak NXT's tag division is at the moment, but at least it was an NXT team that earned the title shot. A surprise TNA tandem taking part in this would've been cool, but no such luck.

Knox and Murdoch def. Looks That Kill in a Crockett Cup Quarterfinal MatchHaving Natalia Markova take part in a competitive match with two guys like Trevor Murdoch and Mike Knox was a bit of a risk, but they ended up treading lightly and she had a very good showing. Her role was limited so it was believable, but she scored enough offense so she wasn't an afterthought. It was a well-worked match and Knox and Murdoch, who won last year's Crockett Cup, were the correct choice to advance.
Drew McIntyre Addressed Attacking CM Punk and Vowed to Win the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder MatchThis was the anger-filled rant I was expecting from McIntyre last week coming out of Clash at the Castle. In addition to addressing his attack on Punk on SmackDown, I'm glad he acknowledged the bracelet he took off Punk's wrist that has his wife and dog's names on it. Please tell me that means AJ Lee will soon be making a cameo on WWE TV for the first time in almost a decade! McIntyre vowing the win the Money in the Bank briefcase was an interesting twist. He has to qualify first, and if he does, perhaps Punk will show up in Toronto to cost him that, too.
"Filthy" Tom Lawlor Attacked Paul Walter Hauser on Laurent Sessions Hosted by Mister Saint Laurent Laurent always plays his role well, but MLW's overreliance on him, Dario Cueto and Salina de la Renta is one of the promotion's biggest drawbacks these days. In defense of this specific segment, however, it featured Hauser and he's obviously a notable name, so this was fine. I didn't expect Hauser to take a beating from Lawlor, so it looks like Hauser will be sticking around for another match.
Katsuyori Shibata, Samoa Joe and Hook def. Premier Athletes (Tony Nese, Josh Woods and Ariya Daivari)Joe and Hook have had a mini feud going with Premier Athletes in recent weeks, so it was logical for them to have a six-man tag team match with Shibata also involved given his alliance with Joe and Hook. Premier Athletes scored some offense, but this was largely all about Shibata, Joe and Hook as it should have been and it didn't overstay its welcome. I have zero desire to see Premier Athletes stick around on AEW TV, by the way.
