Joe Hendry Addressed the AudienceIt was announced last week that Hendry would be challenging Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship at Slammiversary, so this served as basic hype for that match. It was a passionaite promo, and despite what some might think, he still has the fans behind him. The strange thing is that Frankie Kazarian beat him at Against All Odds, yet he didn't avenge that loss and is instead going back after the belt. Okay, then.

Thunder Rosa and CMLL Universal Amazons Champion Persephone def. ROH Women's World Television Champion Red Velvet and ROH Women's World Champion AthenaIt's been confirmed that Athena and Rosa will fight for the ROH Women's World Championship at Supercard of Honor, so much like the four-way they were both involved in on Wednesday's Dynamite, this served as a nice preview of that. It was weird for Rosa to pin Velvet if the ROH Women's World Television Championship isn't her focus, but I understand wanting to protect Athena from getting pinned at this point. It was a quality contest while it lasted.
Mina Shirakawa Saved AEW Women's World Champion "Timeless" Toni Storm from AEW TBS/RevPro Undisputed British Women's/EWA Women's/CMLL World Women's Champion Mercedes MoneStorm vs. Mone is obviously the biggest women's match AEW could possibly book at the moment, btu the feud has left a bit to be desired. Honestly, I don't know what I was expecting, but it's mostly been basic so far. Storm has killed it with the promos, but everything else has been average at best. Nonetheless, this was an effective angle to put more heat on Mone. Surely Shirakawa will factor into the finish at All In, right?
TNA World Champion Trick Williams def. Josh BriggsIt still makes zero sense to me that Briggs would be granted a TNA World Championship opportunity after it was Yoshiki Inamura who pinned Williams in last week's six-man tag team match. Unfortunately, this wasn't very good as they didn't exactly click as opponents. Joe Hendry returned afterward to attack and fend off Williams. For those who missed it, Hendry will get his rematch with Williams for the title at Slammiversary next month.
TVMA def. Big Mama and NWA World Women's Champion Kenzie Paige to Win the NWA World Women's Tag Team ChampionshipTVMA consisted of Tiffany Nieves and Valentina Rossi. I'm assuming this was their debut as a team in the NWA because I don't remember when else they would have teamed. This was a well-worked opener and I love the idea to change the titles. Paige should be focused on defending the NWA World Women's Championship, anyway. As I always say, it feels like the NWA does more with their women's tag team division than any other wrestling company that has them.
