 ROH World Champion Matt Taven def. Alex Shelley(From my Summer Supercard review...) I'm happy Shelley is back in the business of professional wrestling and is finally getting a chance to shine in singles competition, but I don't think many fans actually bought into the possibility of him becoming the champion. ROH didn't give themselves enough time to build up Shelley as a viable threat to the title, but to his credit, Shelley had a great performance against Taven and came close to capturing the gold down the stretch. Taven retaining his title in clean fashion made total sense. Now, he turns his focus to Rush, who emerged afterward as the newest championship contender. It's clear the Taven as world champ experiment isn't working, so I'd pull the trigger on Rush taking the title sooner rather than later. Overall ShowThis edition of ROH TV followed the same formula that it has for the past month or so with highlight videos from Mass Hysteria (which is old news at this point) and Summer Supercard (which at least aired relatively recently). Taven vs. Shelley was the only match that aired in full, but it's good enough to check out if you haven't already. If you have, then there's no reason to tune into this show. There was some hype for the ROH at Center Stage and Honor for All events that aired this weekend on HonorClub. I plan on watching and covering those sometime this week.
 Ariya Daivari def. KAlistoI love Nigel McGuinness on commentary, but he was way too excited for this. Based off how he called the finish, you'd think it was the main event of WrestleMania. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but it was a bit too much here. Kalisto put in an excellent performance, but Daivari was boring as always. It didn't help that this lasted way longer than it should have. With Daivari's victory, he continues to successfully play mind games with The Lucha House Party. Humberto Carrillo def. Oney Lorcan in a WWE Cruiserweight Championship No. 1 Contender's MatchThe commentators acknowledged how Carrillo lost to Lorcan when they first went one-on-one five months ago and that this was his chance at redemption. Although both guys are babyfaces (and the crowd unfortunately wasn't engaged in the action much at all), this was an incredibly entertaining outing. Lorcan already got two shots at the WWE Cruiserweight Championship and failed, so Carrillo advancing to Clash of Champions to compete for the gold makes perfect sense, not to mention how he has history with Drew Gulak from earlier this year.
 WWE Champion Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton BrawledThis Kingston vs. Orton feud is quickly becoming a retread of the rivalry between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe from last year, except not as entertaining. It started out with the two focusing on their history from a decade ago, which I liked a lot, but Orton targeting Kingston's family doesn't seem original. Their backstage brawl was fine, but I'm not as excited for their upcoming encounter at Clash of Champions than I was their SummerSlam match. Ali def. Buddy Murphy in a King of the Ring First Round MatchAli and Murphy had a hell of a series of matches last year on 205 Live, so it was cool to see them rekindle their rivalry in the King of the Ring tournament. As expected, this was an absolute blast with both men going all out and letting their terrific chemistry shine through. I thought Murphy winning here was a given coming off his huge victory against Daniel Bryan last week, but apparently not. Ali advancing was a pleasant surprise, but I'm not a fan of the inconsistency with Murphy.
 Lacey Evans def. Dana BrookeAh, this was one of those weeks where Brooke wasn't facing Sarah Logan so she took on Evans instead. Per usual, this wasn't very well wrestled. I appreciated their effort, but they have zero chemistry and it was just a poor outing on the whole. It's amazing how Evans went from feuding with the Raw Women's Champion to becoming a mainstay on the Main Event in the matter of a month. Titus O'Neil and Heath Slater def. Eric Young and Mojo RawleyRawley has barely been in action on WWE TV the last few months, so I think it's safe to say his push has been abandoned entirely. The same can be said for Slater, who has been largely forgotten about on the Raw roster since splitting from Rhyno. These two teams were completely random and the match was exactly what you would expect. There wasn't anything technically wrong with it, but it screamed throwaway and had no sense of urgency whatsoever.
