FTR def. Best Friends, The Young Bucks and The Natural Nightmares in an AEW World Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender's Gauntlet MatchThis played out in predictable fashion, but I don't mean that as a bad thing whatsoever. Young Bucks needed to beat Natural Nightmares and their mini-match was decent, Young Bucks vs. Best Friends was fun and featured the expected finish with Adam Page costing Young Bucks the victory, and then FTR vs. Best Friends was quality tag team wrestling. The outcome was never in doubt, but FTR vs. Page and Kenny Omega for the AEW World Tag Team Championship should be money. Thankfully, AEW didn't give away Young Bucks vs. FTR and instead cemented Page's split from The Elite courtesy of Young Bucks. I thought that was made official months ago, but apparently not. Either way, it's an interesting development worth keeping an eye on.

Mustafa Ali def. Arturo RuasAli shockingly lost his last match on Main Event a few weeks ago to Riddick Moss and it would have been even worse if he lost to Ruas here. Ruas has appeared on Main Event at least one other time this year and was a part of Raw Underground just recently. As you could probably tell from his gear, he legitimately has fighting experience, so that might explain why WWE opted to protect him in defeat with the roll-up loss here. He and Ali had a fun little match and it was nice to see Ruas score so much offense.
Karrion Kross Vacated the NXT ChampionshipTriple H confirmed in a conference call immediately after TakeOver XXX on Saturday night that Kross was injured in the main event against Keith Lee, and unfortunately, it looks like the injury will keep him out for the foreseeable future. That's a serious bummer. Hopefully he heals up quickly and is back on the sooner side. I think this was the most we've ever heard from him in NXT and he came across well. Fingers crossed he gets a chance to reclaim the NXT Championship and isn't rushed to the main roster.
