Roman Reigns def. Bronson ReedMuch like the rest of the show, this match definitely benefited from the crowd being as hot as they were. It was still a good match, and I was expecting a Reigns win, but I wish Reed had just gone over if the idea was to write Reigns off television (again) for the month of September while he films Street Fighter. To their credit, the attack was well done and The Vision got great heat for it.

Daniel Garcia def. Blake ChristianGarcia has been losing a lot lately and the story is that he's frustrated. Sure, he won here, but who in AEW hasn't beaten Blake Christian? This was a fine extended squash for him to set up his post-match promo, where it was established it will be him against Jon Moxley in a rematch from Dynamite on next week's Collision. I hope the endgame isn't him joining The Death Riders because that would be awful. Let's start the process of getting rid of Death Riders, not adding to them.
Zero Hour: Jay Lethal def. Jordan OliverIf it wasn't already apparent, Lethal is officially the gatekeeper of Ring of Honor. I can understand why that'd be his role at this point, but he can also still go and I'd prefer to see him doing something more meaningful. Nonetheless, they had a nice match and I thought Oliver was impressive. I've enjoyed his work in MLW and on the northeast independent scene, so I'd like to see him get more opportunities in Ring of Honor in the future.
John Cena Confronted Logan PaulCena's promo last week was better, but this was still great mic work from Cena, and I thought Paul once again held his own and played his role well. Cena apologizing to that fan from his first heel promo earlier this year (the kid dressed in the Cena garb that was upset over what Cena was saying) was awesome. This has been the perfect four-week feud and they did their job as far as leaving me more excited for their match at Clash in Paris than I was previously.
Mike Santana and TNA International Champion Steve Maclin def. TNA World Champion Trick Williams and A.J. FrancisI dug the short-lived alliance Santana and Maclin had last summer, so it was cool they were able to rekindle that for a one-off here. This was a good, well-worked opener that served to set up Santana vs. Williams for the TNA World Championship for a later date, presumably Bound for Glory. Champions getting pinned is usually a lazy way to earn someone an opportunity at that person's title, but at least the outcome was the correct one.
