Matanza Cueto def. Jack EvansAfter the many losses he has suffered this season, Evans decided to call it quits here and announce his departure from Lucha Underground... only to be interrupted by Antonio Cueto, who said he'd be able to leave once he faced Matanza. Evans gave him more of a fight than most, but the outcome was still the same. I believe this marked Evans' final appearance on the show, thus explaining him being sacrificed to the gods. Trios Champions The Reptile Tribe def. Joey Ryan, XO Lishus and IvelisseRyan, Lishus and Ivelisse are such an oddball trio yet they're a lot of fun together. They had an enjoyable, well-wrestled match with The Reptile Tribe, but even their strong showing wasn't enough to earn them the victory and titles. Afterward, Paul London introduced his two new partners, The White Rabbit and El Bunny (who I assume is Mascarita Sagrada in new attire), and attacked the babfaces, so that appears to be a new feud.

Lio Rush def. Noam DarI'm glad Rush is finally being featured in front of a bigger audience on Raw with him serving as Bobby Lashley's "hype man" of sorts, but I also appreciate that he's still a mainstay on the 205 Live roster (for now) where he can show off his in-ring skills. This was a very nice match from him and Dar. They never went all out like I feel they could have, but it was an enjoyable outing with the right result. The Brian Kendrick def. Local AthleteWell, this didn't last long at all. It literally consisted of Kendrick kicking the dude in the face, locking in the Captain's Hook and forcing him to submit. Short, sweet, and straight to the point. I like it. Afterward, Drew Gulak and Gentleman Jack Gallagher took turns beating up the local athlete, with the commentators emphasizing how frustrated Gulak is coming off his loss to Cedric Alexander from last week and questioning what their next move will be.
#AskGSM Edition #252: Brie Bella's Botch, Early WWE Super Show-Down Preview, Rey Mysterio, More9/26/2018 #AskGSM is a weekly Q&A video where I, Graham "GSM" Matthews answer fan questions from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in regards to the world of wrestling. Nothing is off limits, and this week’s edition touches upon a variety of topics including:
Best Friends def. The BoysThe Boys have been off ROH TV since Dalton Castle took time off to heal some injuries in late June, so it was nice to see them back (I'm not sure how much longer Castle will be out for). Granted, this match didn't serve much of a purpose, but it was fun and well-wrestled while it lasted. The win gave Best Friends bit of a momentum boost ahead of their huge 10-man tag team matchup at Death Before Dishonor. Kenny King def. Adam PageKing has been teasing a heel turn in recent weeks, so the story here was whether he could beat Page without having to resort to underhanded tactics. Well, he did for the second straight time (after cheating to defeat Marty Scurll), essentially solidifying his status as a heel (especially because Page is so beloved by the audience). As a match, this was great. Both of these guys are two of the brightest up-and-comers in the company and can always be counted on for a quality contest like we saw here.
