Ava and Santino Marella Named NXT Champion Ricky Saints, TNA Knockouts Champion Jacy Jane, Mike Santana and TNA Knockouts World Champion Kelani Jordan Their Team CaptainsSaints had some time to address his NXT Championship win from No Mercy, but it was quickly overshadowed by all of the invasion talk. Speaking of "invasion," next week's episode has been renamed to Showdown due it falling on the two-year anniversary of when Israel was invaded. That's understandable, but surely they could've come up with something more creative than Showdown. Nevertheless, this segment established who the the team captains will be for next week's Survivor Series-style tag team elimination matches, though I wish there was a better explanation for why Jordan is leading the women's team for TNA considering she only just won the TNA Knockouts World Championship four days ago.

NWA World Tag Team Champions Knox and Murdoch def. Ty Awesome and Shawn Carlson (Non-Title)Eric Smalls was in the corner of Awesome and Carlson. They never stood a chance, so it was smart to have Knox and Murdoch dismantle them quickly and decisively. I liked that Smalls challenged them to a singles match not next week but rather later in the show with the question becoming which one of them would accept. The NWA doesn't do stuff like that often, so I appreciated the change of pace.
The Kabuki Warriors Attacked Rhea Ripley and IYO SKYIt was cool to see this storyline close out the show last week and then open the show this week. It really is the best thing on Raw right now and arguably all of WWE in general. Granted, SKY's acting here was admittedly abysmal, but on the whole, this was more strong progression of the feud with it being confirmed later on that it will be SKY and Ripley against Kabuki Warriors at Crown Jewel.
Atlantis, MLW National Openweight Champion Blue Panther and Diego Hill def. El Galeon FantasmaThere was a lucha six-man tag team match on a recent MLW event that was quite good despite me knowing very little about those involved and this was along the same lines (though I'm familiar with Atlantis and Panther). It was well wrestled and the crowd was into the action. The outcome was irrelevant in my opinion, but they did kick off the show on a high note.
The Death Riders (Daniel Garcia, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli) def. "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard and Paragon (Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong)Garcia still has yet to give Menard an explanation for why he joined Death Riders (though it's pretty obvious), so I like that they're not quickly moving on from that and forgetting they were even aligned. It's important to establish Garcia with a string of wins right now and thus it made sense for him to pin Menard for the win. Death Riders are at their best when they're allowed to do their thing in the ring and not being overbooked or cutting rambling promos.
