The Brian Kendrick def. Gentleman Jack GallagherKendrick and Gallagher have history working against each other from last year, so it was no surprise that was as good of a match as it was. They weren't given a ton of time, mind you, but it was nice while it lasted. I liked that Drew Gulak's interference was thwarted by Akira Tozawa, and now it appears Kendrick and Tozawa will be unlikely allies moving forward to combat Gulak and Gallagher. Gran Metalik def. Local AthleteDespite The Lucha House Party recently joining the Raw tag team division, it looks like (similar to Lio Rush and Drave Maverick) they'll continue to compete on 205 Live as well. This was your typical squash match with Metalik showcasing his skills and scoring the decisive victory. Lucha House Party have been embroiled in a feud with TJP over the past month, so TJP surfacing afterward and stealing Metalik's mask kept their storyline alive.

Adam PAge def. Scorpio SkyThis felt like a rather random match on paper, but I can't complain about getting some excellent action between two of the best athletes on the Ring of Honor roster. Sky doesn't get showcased enough in one-on-one competition, so this was a strong showing from him. Meanwhile, Page never ceases to deliver and thus this was a really fun opening matchup. If the rest of Bullet Club doesn't stick around in ROH, I can certainly see Page breaking out on his own eventually and winning singles gold. Shane Taylor def. Eli IsomIsom pinned Taylor during a four-way a few weeks ago, so the purpose of this match was basically to allow Taylor to get his win back. Isom scored a decent amount of offense, but Taylor was mostly dominant and picked up the win as he should have. Cheeseburger attempted to make the save afterward to no avail, which led to Flip Gordon laying out Taylor and calling out Bully Ray. Gordon and Bully then had a solid verbal exchange, setting up a match for next week where they'll have wrestlers representing them facing each other. Bully revealed Silas Young is his pick, and I'd assume Cheeseburger (just based off what we saw here) would be Gordon's.
Moustache Mountain def. Saxon Huxley and Sam GradwellTyler Bate and Trent Bate have been dominating the singles ranks in recent weeks and this was their first outing in tag team action on the NXT UK brand. Although the tag team titles have yet to be officially announced, these two have to be in the running to be crowned the inaugural champs. They had an enjoyable opening match with Huxley and Gradwell here and had the crowd with them every step of the way. Isla Dawn def. Nina SamuelsOf all the women who have been introduced in the NXT UK women's division thus far, I can't say Dawn leads the list of those who have impressed me the most. She has a unique look and style, I suppose, but nothing about this match screamed special to me. Rather, it was a fairly formulaic matchup with Dawn picking up the win. It was by no means bad, but Dawn could have done more to shine in her debut.
Braun Strowman and Ember Moon def. Jinder Mahal and Alicia FoxThis was a total mismatch on paper, since Strowman and Moon have been dominant throughout Season 2 while Mahal and Fox are a throwaway tandem. Despite that, this was a decent little match. Of course, I don't care for the Mahal and Fox pairing whatsoever, but Strowman and Moon are a blast together and made this bearable. I have no doubt they'll end up advancing to the finals to face whoever advances from the SmackDown Live side (probably The Miz and Asuka). WWE Champion AJ Styles and Charlotte Flair def. Rusev and LanaDamn, Rusev and Lana may be married, but they can't win a match to save their lives. Styles and Charlotte, on the other hand, continue to gel well as partners and are outlasting the competition. This was another entertaining outing on the whole with some fun antics here and there. I also liked how Styles sold the beatdown he received earlier in the evening on SmackDown, and how Charlotte remains distraught over her loss to Becky Lynch at Evolution. I'm excited for their eventual clash with Miz and Asuka, which I assume will be saved for one of the last weeks.
