Gaagz the Gymp def. LevI'm honestly shocked that Gaagz is still on the NWA roster (at least with this gimmick). He was one of the guys Nick Aldis specifically pointed out as to how the NWA has lost its way with ridiculous characters and storylines, yet the NWA continues to feature him. I have no idea why this match existed. It was perfectly fine for what it was, but I don't know who Lev is and I don't care about Gaagz or his mask, so this whole thing felt like a waste of time.

The Usos Attacked The BloodlineAfter their reunion at the end of SmackDown last week, we needed a formal explanation from The Usos as to why they're back together, so this was solid stuff. It's easy to understand why Jey would forgive Jimmy so easily with the two of them being twins. It was weird that they got the better of The Bloodline despite being outnumbered, but I did like the teases for Sami Zayn rejoining The Usos later on in the show. It looks like our men's WarGames lineup is set.
NXT North American Champion Tony D'Angelo def. Oba Femi in a Tables, Ladders and Scares MatchI didn't really think about it until someone brought it up to me recently, but WWE hasn't done a TLC match on the main roster since the TLC pay-per-view was still around four years ago. However, there's been a few of these Tables, Ladders and Scares (TLS for short) matches in NXT since then and this was a good one with both men making the most of the stipulation. Why not have the belt hang from the ceiling like it does in a TLC matchup? That would've prevented Femi from eating the clean pinfall loss, but at least it was a nice endorsement of D'Angelo.
Jay White def. Shane TaylorI couldn't tell you a single meaningful match Taylor has ever won on his own on AEW TV, which makes it difficult to see him as a threat to anyone he faces, but I can't complain too much because his matches tend to deliver. This was an enjoyable opener with White picking up the clean victory. He called out Adam Page for Full Gear afterward, so I'm sure that match will soon be made official.
Pre-Show: Ash and Heather by Elegance def. Brinley Reece and Xia BrooksideThis bout had some build, but not nearly enough to justify it being on the main card, so it was wise to position it on the pre-show instead. It was pretty basic yet well worked. Not only was the heel duo going over the right call, I was pleasantly surprised that Reece took the pinfall loss for her team considering she's from WWE NXT and she could've easily been protected in defeat.
