Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson and Ace Austin) def. FTRFTR just became number one contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Full Gear, so I wasn't expecting Bang Bang Gang to pick up the victory here. However, I have no issue with shaking things up once in a while to keep viewers guessing. Maybe FTR take the titles and defend against Bang Bang Gang shortly thereafter? Either way, this was an entertaining opener. The shenanigans at ringside with Stokley, Bandido, Gravity and JetSpeed were what led to FTR's loss, so it's not like it was completely clean.

Aleister Black and Zelina Vega Confronted Undisputed WWE Champion Cody RhodesRhodes didn't say anything of note during his promo, but it was refreshing to see someone other than Drew McIntyre confront him (more on that later). Of course, Rhodes and Black have history from when Black debuted in AEW four years ago, and Black was never the same after that feud was over. Unfortunately (but not surprisingly), none of that was mentioned here. Rather, Vega's slap to Rhodes served as a simple setup for their match in the main event.
The System (Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers) def. The Order, The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel) and Sinner and Saint in a Four-Way Tag Team MatchThis was basically a showcase of TNA's current tag team division. It wasn't a number one contender's match since this was from a while ago, but from an in-ring standpoint, it was fun and well wrestled. The System are coming off a win in Hardcore War at Bound for Glory, so I can see them being next in line for a shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championship, possibly as soon as Victory Road.
ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions Shane Taylor Promotions (The Infantry and Shane Taylor) def. BEEF and The WorkhorsemenI appreciate that this has had a bit of buildup and didn't come completely out of nowhere. Granted, I never bought into the possibility of The Workhorsemen and BEEF winning the titles, but it was nice to have a match with stakes on this show for a change. Rush even interfered to further La Faccion Ingobernable's feud with the trio, though I don't know that they needed to be protected in defeat. This felt like a glorified squash for Shane Taylor Promotions and I'm not complaining.
AEW World Champion "Hangman" Adam Page, Eddie Kingston and Hook Saved Tony Schiavone from AEW World Trios Champions The OppsIt made total sense for Joe to have an issue with Schiavone after he was outsmarted by Page at the end of last week's show and the role that Schiavone played in that ruse. Page, Kingston and Hook making the save built toward the already-official six-man tag team match in the main event, and I liked how they established here that the AEW World Trios Championship would be on the line as well.
