Braun Strowman and Ember Moon def. Bobby Lashley and Mickie JAmesI don't think Strowman and Lashley have ever gone head-to-head before, so that was a cool clash of styles. Beyond that, though, this was a pretty average match. Nothing stood out as special about it whatsoever, but the in-ring action was enjoyable on the whole. Although Strowman and Moon are a good team, Alexa Bliss was a way better partner for Strowman. Lashley would have been better off with Sasha Banks, too. Jeff Hardy and Charlotte Flair def. The Miz and AsukaAs a result of what happened at the end of SmackDown Live, Styles was replaced by Hardy for this match. Charlotte and Hardy had a unique chemistry together and it made for an entertaining encounter. Meanwhile, Miz and Asuka have always been the perfect partners because they play off of each other well. They have been undefeated since Season 1, so I thought it was weird for them to suffer their first defeat at the hands of a makeshift tandem that is likely only temporary.

Bobby Lashley and Mickie James def. Finn Balor and BayleyAs I noted in my Raw review from Monday night, Balor and Lashley have little chemistry together. That wasn't much different here. They competed against each other at a few points and it was fine, but I actually enjoyed the interaction between Bayley and James more. It was a well-wrestled match on the whole, yet hardly anything worth going out of your way to see. Jimmy Uso and Naomi def. R-Truth and CarmellaHoly hell, this was atrocious. It was almost as if they didn't even try. This four-minute "match" basically consisted of the two teams going back and forth on the mic for half the time, doing dancing stuff, and attempting to wrestle. Truth be told, it wasn't very good. To top it all off, the finish came out of nowhere and the crowd was flat for it, which I don't blame them for whatsoever. This was easily the worst matchup I've seen in the Mixed Match Challenge yet.
Braun Strowman and Ember Moon def. Jinder Mahal and Alicia FoxThis was a total mismatch on paper, since Strowman and Moon have been dominant throughout Season 2 while Mahal and Fox are a throwaway tandem. Despite that, this was a decent little match. Of course, I don't care for the Mahal and Fox pairing whatsoever, but Strowman and Moon are a blast together and made this bearable. I have no doubt they'll end up advancing to the finals to face whoever advances from the SmackDown Live side (probably The Miz and Asuka). WWE Champion AJ Styles and Charlotte Flair def. Rusev and LanaDamn, Rusev and Lana may be married, but they can't win a match to save their lives. Styles and Charlotte, on the other hand, continue to gel well as partners and are outlasting the competition. This was another entertaining outing on the whole with some fun antics here and there. I also liked how Styles sold the beatdown he received earlier in the evening on SmackDown, and how Charlotte remains distraught over her loss to Becky Lynch at Evolution. I'm excited for their eventual clash with Miz and Asuka, which I assume will be saved for one of the last weeks.
Finn Balor and Bayley def. Bobby Roode and NatalyaThe bit at the beginning with Balor and Roode exchanging jackets/robes was pretty funny, but everything else about this match felt average to me. That surprised me, just because you have four really good workers involved and you'd think it would have been more memorable than it was. On the bright side, Balor and Bayley keep rolling as a team, whereas Roode and Natalya have next to no chemistry together. The Miz and Asuka def. Jimmy Uso and NaomiAlthough they've gone undefeated for this long (including in Season 1), it looks like Miz and Asuka are finally starting to tease tension and aren't getting along as well as they used to. I like the seeds of dissension being planted because I assume that will lead to their eventual downfall. As for this match, it was slightly more enjoyable than the previous outing, but not by much. They managed to make it entertaining, but it was hardly must-see.
