WWE Women's Champion Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss Confronted Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab; Cargill def. BlissCargill got great heat from this crowd, and Ripley was super over when she came out. In fact, this crowd is responsible for making an otherwise standard segment more enjoyable because of their energy. It was nice to get a fresh match between Cargill and Bliss immediately afterward and I thought it was decent. The win obviously gives Cargill more of a momentum boost going into her WWE Women's Championship rematch with Ripley at Clash in Italy. Axiom def. The MizI'm glad they got Axiom on the show in his home country of Spain, much like last year when he faced Gunther (which was actually before he was called up to the main roster). He and Miz had a good match and Axiom winning was the correct call. I don't know what this means in the long run, but I doubt it will lead to anything for Fraxiom, who have been floundering since their story with The Motor City Machine Guns was abruptly dropped because of the latter team getting released. The MFTs (Talla Tonga and Tama Tonga) def. WWE Tag Team Champion Damian Priest and Royce KeysKeys filled in for R-Truth because he's still hurt, and it played into the story of Priest not trusting Keys. The match wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but it did seem to move things along with Priest and Keys not being a cohesive unit and that being what cost them the victory. I can see this leading to Keys having to defend the WWE Tag Team Championship on Truth's behalf in the next few weeks if Truth isn't cleared by then. Sami Zayn def. Matt CardonaWWE has done practically nothing with Cardona since he returned to the company at the onset of the year (hell, he's only won one televised match since then and that was the night he came back), but I did like what we got from these two backstage to set this up. In fact, I liked everything we got backstage from Zayn on this show. His current character is arguably the best thing on SmackDown at the moment. He and Cardona had a quality contest and I appreciated that it wasn't a straight-up squash of Cardona. United States Champion Trick Williams, Carmelo Hayes and Ricky Saints Interrupted Each Other; Hayes vs. Saints Ended in a Double Count-OutThe talking segment was fine, but I didn't think anything that was said stood out at all. It led into the subsequent match nicely, but the rematch between Hayes and Saints didn't hit the same level that their last encounter did two weeks ago. The lame double count-out finish didn't help. On the bright side, it looks like we're headed toward a Triple Threat for the United States Championship. Chelsea Green def. Nia JaxGreen trying to befriend Tiffany Stratton has a lot of potential. Fans were already behind Green, so gradually turning her babyface is smart. It'd be even better if this leads to Stratton turning on Green and returning to her roots as a heel. That may not be until later down the line, though. As a match, this was whatever, but I am intrigued to see where this angle with Stratton and Green is going. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Gunther Faced OffThis was easily the best interaction Rhodes and Gunther have had since they started feuding. The mic work from both men was excellent and they really hammered home how important their match is coming up at Clash in Italy. I feel like it'd be a mistake for Rhodes to retain as that would only add to the fan fatigue toward him, but at least they closed this show with a strong segment. Overall ShowThankfully, this aired earlier in the day internationally on Netflix due to it emanating from Spain and that should be the case for the next few weeks of Raw and SmackDown. Unfortunately, that also meant I watched this show live for the first time in a while and it definitely dragged. They ended on a high note, and the stuff with Zayn was well done, but the three hours are brutal and nothing is interesting enough to keep me completely invested from start to finish.
