Zamaya def. Priscilla KellyZamaya has been perfectly portrayed as a dominant badass so far and this was another successful showcase for her. What made this match stand out from the others wasn't its quality but rather who she beat. Kelly is a notable name in MLW's women's division and thus it meant something for Zamaya to beat her. At this rate, it might not be long before she's challenging for the MLW Women's World Championship. Diego Hill Attacked MLW National Openweight Champion Austin AriesAries was interviewed and simply stated that he was issuing an open challenge to anyone on the roster with the MLW National Openweight Championship on the line, which was answered by Hill. That made sense since it's been established that Blue Panther is Hill's mentor and Hill isn't happy with Aries beating Panther for the title. I liked that Hill punched Aries to set up their match for a little later on. Paul Hauser def. Bryce CannonApparently Hauser is going by just Paul Hauser now instead of Paul Walter Hauser, for anyone who cares. As I've said before, I applaud Hauser's passion for pro wrestling and his commitment to improving, but he just hasn't produced anything worthwhile in MLW in my opinion. His matches aren't very good, so it was smart to keep this on the shorter side and not have it overstay its welcome. MLW National Openweight Champion Austin Aries def. Diego HillHill has consistently been impressive whenever I've seen him in action and this was no exception. As Aries' first title defense, I didn't think he was ever truly in jeopardy of losing here, but Hill pushed him to his limit and was made to look credible in defeat (right down to Aries cheating to win). Post-match, Aries called out Mistico for his "fluke" victory over him from when they last did battle, so that appears to be where we're headed next. Matt Riddle def. Trevor LeeLee is a guy who can go yet never win when it matters most. He's obviously getting more opportunities to shine in MLW than he ever did on WWE's main roster, but he should still be slotted higher in MLW. Nonetheless, this was a really well-wrestled outing and I'm glad it was glad for last. Riddle knocked out Alex Hammerstone afterward to further that feud. Overall ShowIt's worth noting that there was an update on Bishop Dyer's status with MLW, where it was revealed that he's in ongoing contract negotiations with the promotion. In other words, they're in the process of writing him out so he can return to WWE. Poor Donovan Dijak. Anyway, this was another rock-solid edition of Fusion. It's had an easy-to-follow formula since returning and it's been an enjoyable watch each week.
