The Usos Interrupted LA Knight and Solo SikoaI've seen some people suggest that Knight and Sikoa should win the World Tag Team Championship and I'm not entirely against the idea. I mean, it's not like The Vision are doing much with the belts anyway, and this tag team feud is a focal point of Raw right now. At any rate, this was a solid opening segment (largely because of the fun interaction between Knight and Sikoa) to set up the tag team main event for later on. Stephanie Vaquer def. Roxanne PerezWe've seen these two work together before, so this was nothing new, but it was a quality contest for the time they were allotted. Unfortunately, the crowd was as quiet as could be until the finish. Poor Perez, who hasn't won a match in ages. The ongoing drama between Vaquer and Becky Lynch continues to be well done, and we also found out that Vaquer will get her rematch with Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship in two weeks on Raw. AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix def. Dragon Lee in a World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender's Tournament Semifinal Match (Non-Title)This was a hell of a sprint from Fenix and Lee as you'd expect. I'm happy Fenix has been given more opportunities to shine in recent weeks while Lee has been consistently killing it over the last year on Raw. They had terrific chemistry here and delivered a super enjoying outing that gave Rey Mysterio vs. Chad Gable from last week a run for its money. There was a chance Lee could've moved on in the tournament, but it had to be Penta vs. Fenix in the finals. Oba Femi Attacked World Tag Team Champions The Vision During His Contract Signing with World Tag Team Champion Bron BreakkerI was hyped for Femi vs. Breakker at Sunday Night's Main Event the moment it was teased on the post-SummerSlam Raw, but this got me more excited for the match. People will say that Femi "cooked" Breakker on the mic, and Femi did have the stronger promo of the two, but I thought Breakker did just fine. This feud has been a great way to keep both of them busy at a time when there isn't much else for them to do if they're not going to enter World Heavyweight Championship contention. Big Cass def. Je'Von EvansEvans and Cass have been beefing for weeks and we reached a point where a match was necessary. They told a simple story with Evans fighting valiantly, only to be outmatched by the bigger Cass. I think they're capable of better together, but I'm sure this was the first of a few matches they'll be having. Either way, it would've been stupid for Cass to lose his first bout back. Penta def. La Parka in a World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender's Tournament Semifinal MatchI'd say it became obvious that Penta was advancing after Fenix won his semifinal match earlier on, but it was already obvious that Penta was making the finals and that he's going to win the whole thing. Nonetheless, this was a good match. The crowd had no reason to care about Parka because he's barely featured on WWE TV, but he had a nice showing before eating defeat. LA Knight and Solo Sikoa vs. The Usos Ended in a No ContestThe match itself was fairly standard stuff for a Raw main event. I assume that was done by design to make the attack from the returning Royce Keys and the debuting OTM feel like a bigger deal. That came completely out of nowhere, but I'm intrigued. I'm confused as to whether they're supposed to be babyfaces or heels (they laid out everyone here), but I am intrigued. I have to imagine this will factor into WarGames in a few months. Overall ShowThis felt like an average episode of Raw. There was that one standout match from Fenix and Lee, but nothing else was remotely memorable until the show-closing angle with Keys and OTM wreaking havoc. Ideally, that should shake up Raw a bit going forward, provided WWE follows up on the new group accordingly. The rest of Raw was business as usual and sometimes you're going to get shows like that.
