LA Knight Confronted World Heavyweight Champion Seth RollinsWe finally found out that Rollins' stable will be called The Vision going forward. I like the name. I'm a fan of the faction, but WWE has to be careful to not run these show-opening promos from Rollins into the ground. It didn't help that his storyline explanation for his fake injury was weak, but hey, it made for an awesome swerve. Knight emerging as Rollins' first challenger made total sense after he beat Rollins at Saturday Night's Main Event last month. Sheamus vs. Rusev Ended in a Double Count-OutInitially, I was disappointed this was announced for this show instead of Clash in Paris with it being the rubber match, but the non-finish gave me hope that we'll get the blow-off at Clash in Paris after all (it'll probably end up on a Raw overseas, but it'll be a better crowd than Brooklyn). This was another hard-hitting affair from them and the crowd was into their brawl. Penta def. Grayson WallerIf Austin Theory's injury is legitimate, then Waller should get more chances to shine on his own, not being relegated to an alliance with The New Day where he's serving as their lackey. This match served as a nice reminder of what he's capable of, even though the outcome was never in doubt. I don't know if this is leading to Penta facing both members of New Day in separate singles matches, but at least he picked up a much-needed win here. WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair def. The Judgment Day (Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez)The segment started out with Flair and Bliss celebrating their WWE Women's Tag Team Championship only to be interrupted by Perez and Rodriguez, leading to the impromptu title rematch. I thought we might get some sort of non-finish to extend the feud (since there aren't many other teams for the champs to defend against), so the clean finish was surprising. This was another enjoyable outing from the two teams. Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio def. Dragon Lee (Non-Title)It feels like so long ago that Lee beat Mysterio to win the NXT North American Championship. Now we barely see Lee on TV and Mysterio has so much more momentum. This was a solid match for as long as it lasted, but the focus was on the three El Grande Americanos coming out to interfere toward the end. Plus, AJ Styles came to Lee's aid afterward, so his feud with Mysterio apparently isn't over despite losing at SummerSlam. Women's Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch Attacked Nikki BellaThis rivalry was originally rumored over the weekend and it didn't do much for me on paper, but this segment may have been enough to change my mind. Both women played their respective roles well and had a strong verbal exchange. That one line from Lynch about Bella's past relationship with John Cena was especially excellent. Granted, this storyline didn't need the Women's Intercontinental Championship, but I'm looking forward to it more than I thought I would. World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins def. LA Knight by DisqualificationThis was along the lines of their Saturday Night's Main Event encounter in that it was well worked and the action was entertaining. Knight beating Rollins on an upset with an assist from CM Punk and/or Roman Reigns would've been a wild Attitude Era-esque twist, but I didn't genuinely think that would happen. I'm glad Knight only lost because Punk saved him from eating a Curb Stomp on the pavement. Reigns attempted to make the save but got laid out, too. Are looking at a six-man tag team match at Clash in Paris? And where the hell was Jey Uso? Overall ShowOkay, I'm biased because I was in attendance, but I thought this was a good show on the whole. The Brooklyn crowd wasn't as hot throughout the night as you'd expect them to be, but then again, there wasn't a ton for us/them to be hot for. The ending was well done and there was enough quality stuff (in addition to the seeds planted for Clash in Paris) leading up to it to make for a thumbs-up episode.
