Adam Pearce Interrupted Bron Breakker Before LA Knight Attacked The VisionBreakker causing chaos at ringside after he got attacked and immediately eliminated from the Royal Rumble was an excellent way to kick off the show. It was what needed to happen, especially when you consider he failed to win the World Heavyweight Championship a month ago, too. Knight going after The Vision was logical as well to further that feud. We'll see where this story is going with Breakker, but I assume it's leading to a WrestleMania match with Seth Rollins if he's cleared in time. Je'Von Evans def. El Grande AmericanoThis was Ludwig Kaiser's Americano, to be clear. Evans lost to him when he had to forfeit by injury a few weeks ago, so I'm glad he got that win back. They had a well-wrestled bout, but the crowd was completely quiet for it until Chad Gable's Americano came out. Here's hoping we get the inevitable Americano vs. Americano match on the sooner side so the feud isn't dragged out all the way until WrestleMania 42. Dragon Lee Attacked GuntherGunther entering to AJ Styles' entrance music was fantastic. He's become a tremendous troll since beating John Cena in December and it got him even more heat. I liked that Lee came out given that he teamed with Styles late last year and even got the better of him briefly before Gunther choked him out (which Lee sold wonderfully, by the way). That feels more like a match we'd get on Raw than Elimination Chamber, but it wasn't announced for next week's episode, so it's possible they could be saving it. Oba Femi Attacked The War RaidersYep, War Raiders are cooked. There's no way WWE books an angle like this with them unless they're on the chopping block, so if I were them, I wouldn't pick up my phone, particularly right after WrestleMania. At any rate, this was a short and sweet angle to make Femi look like a total badass in his official Raw debut. It wasn't said that he has signed with the brand, but that's probably where he's winding up ultimately. The Bella Twins Set Their Sights on the WWE Women's Tag Team ChampionshipYikes. This wasn't exactly the strongest promo from the reunited Bella Twins. Their promos as a team were never stellar to begin with (at least by today's standards), but thankfully, they kept this relatively brief. It's hardly a shock that they're going after the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship as it makes sense. I just don't want that to be what RHIYO are tied down to doing at WrestleMania, but it's possible they drop the belts to another team (maybe The Bellas) before then. Penta def. Bronson Reed by Count-OutReed still hasn't been pinned or submitted since defeating Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel in October, so I appreciate that Reed has been protected. Penta needs wins, too, so I had no issue with this ending by count-out. The match itself was enjoyable and furthered the feud between the babyfaces and The Vision. Just simple storytelling and it served its purpose. Intercontinental Champion and AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio Celebrated Liv Morgan's Royal Rumble VictoryIt was nice to get Mysterio back as he's been sidelined with a shoulder injury for almost two months. Hopefully he returns to the ring soon because he's still the Intercontinental Championship and he should be stripped of the title if he's not going to be able to defend it for the foreseeable future. There was some tension teased between Morgan and Rodriguez here, but that's been the case with Judgment Day for what feels like forever, so they need to speed it up and get to whatever the next chapter is going to be. Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer def. Raquel Rodriguez in a Philadelphia Street FightMorgan winning the women's Rumble made this more unpredictable because there was a real chance of Morgan challenging her Judgment Day stablemate at WrestleMania. That said, Vaquer retaining the title was the correct outcome. Morgan hasn't chosen to face Vaquer at WrestleMania yet, but Morgan vs. Vaquer is a bigger and better bout than Morgan vs. Rodriguez despite the history between Morgan and Rodriguez. The Street Fight was a bit of a mess and no different than most WWE Street Fights. Roman Reigns Chose to Challenge World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk at WrestleMania 42Damn! I wasn't and still am not high on Reigns winning the men's Rumble, but this definitely left me more optimistic about his WrestleMania direction than I was before. He and Punk brought the best out of each other on the mic here with both guys cutting terrific promos. They mentioned plenty of stuff and yet they only scratched the surface of what they can cover, so if they can keep up between now and WrestleMania, this feud could be a lot of fun to follow. Overall ShowFor a Philadelphia crowd, they were fairly tame throughout most of the night, and it's not as if this was a boring edition of Raw by any means. It wasn't amazing on the whole, but the best parts were the opening and closing segments. Everything in the middle was solid and successfully set the tone for the WrestleMania build. There was more going on than usual and I say that as a good thing. Raw tends to deliver more often than not and I thought this episode was a good example of that.
