Monday Night Raw Review - June 1, 2026

Jacob Fatu Acknowledged Roman Reigns

Man, what a letdown. Per the rules of Tribal Combat (at least this time, because this was not the case the last two times they did the match), Fatu now has to "acknowledge" Reigns and fall in line alongside The Usos because he lost to Reigns. That's terrible. He has been white-hot at several points this year, but now he's going to be a lackey again because... reasons. The segment itself was fine, but it was definitely depressing to see Fatu regress.

Oba Femi def. Solo Sikoa, Carmelo Hayes and Intercontinental Champion Penta in a King of the Ring Quarterfinal Fatal 4-Way Match (Non-Title)

As stupid and as unnecessary as it was for Brock Lesnar to avenge his loss to Femi at Clash in Italy, I was never once worried that Femi had been cooled off. He was super over in front of this crowd and ended up going over, even though the Fatal 4-Way format would've allowed him to lose without getting pinned. We'll see what they have planned going forward, but this was a very fun Fatal 4-Way to kick things off.

Cathy Kelly Interviewed Women's Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca

It's not often we get in-ring interviews where nobody interrupts. Usually that sort of stuff is saved for the Raw commercial breaks on Netflix (if you're watching internationally, that is). This said, I thought this was simple and effective. Ruca's mic skills aren't exceptional by any means, but she's improving, and this existed to establish that she's going to be a fighting champion. It was a solid start to her reign.

Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee def. Ethan Page and Rusev

Technically, The LWO never broke up, but they haven't been acknowledged by that name in so long on Raw that I won't bother listing Lee and Mysterio as members until WWE indicates otherwise. Anyway, this was a really enjoyable tag team match. Page taking the pinfall loss wasn't ideal, but Mysterio winning for his team made sense since he'll be challenging Penta for the Intercontinental Championship on next week's show.

IYO SKY def. Giulia, Lash Legend and Roxanne Perez in a Queen of the Ring Quarterfinal Fatal 4-Way Match

I want SKY vs. Giulia one-on-one at some point, but their interaction in this Fatal 4-Way will suffice for now. SKY even pinned Giulia to pick up the victory. Poor Giulia. Hey, at least she got a televised entrance in her home country. All four women worked well together and produced a quality contest. Perez advancing to tease tension with Liv Morgan would've been intriguing, but I won't complain about SKY advancing instead.

Seth Rollins def. World Tag Team Champion Bron Breakker

I'm surprised this was given away without much buildup beforehand or announcing it prior to today. Regardless, this was a great match and arguably better than their bout at Backlash. They were given plenty of time, the action was excellent and the electric atmosphere made it feel like a big deal. I'm worried Rollins winning means he's now the favorite to win King of the Ring, though. Where does Breakker go from here?

Overall Show

Clash in Italy was marred by bad booking decisions in my opinion, so this show felt like a much-needed palate cleanser in a way. Sure, Rollins beating Breakker isn't exactly new or fresh, but it was a kickass match and the rest of the show held my attention, partially thanks to the hot crowd in Italy. The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will make more matches meaningful for the next few weeks.
