Oba Femi Attacked The Judgment Day

I figured he'd be fine, but for anyone that was worried, this segment affirmed that Femi is still very much over despite losing to Brock Lesnar at Clash in Italy. He came across like an absolute star here. I'm glad we know it will be him against Dominik Mysterio in the King of the Ring semifinals next week because it allowed them to build up the bout in this segment. I enjoyed their exchange. That had to be the most crowd heat Mysterio has gotten in months.

Women's World Champion Liv Morgan def. Chelsea Green, Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch in a Queen of the Ring Quarterfinal Fatal 4-Way Match (Non-Title)

Morgan partaking in the tournament was silly enough since she seemingly has no competition at the moment. Now she's advanced to the semifinals, but for what reason exactly? Maybe it will become clear, but this feels like a waste, nor should she win the whole thing. Ugh. If nothing else, this was as entertaining as the other Fatal 4-Ways we've gotten throughout this tourney thus far.

Women's Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca def. Lyra Valkyria

This had a simple setup on last week's show with Valkyria challenging Ruca to a title match because she was the inaugural champ. Ruca needs to rack up more wins and that's exactly the purpose this served. They had a nice match. It was nothing too crazy, but it was fun while it lasted. It also helped hype their involvement in the Queen of the Ring quarterfinal Fatal 4-Way coming up on SmackDown.

Jey Uso Confronted LA Knight

I found Knight's confrontation with Jimmy Uso two weeks ago to be intriguing, but this honestly felt like more of the same. Knight was pretty steadfast in his hated of The Bloodline, whereas Uso looked like a goof for continuing to run his entrance back. I have no idea where this is supposed to be leading since we've seen this before and it didn't really amount to anything. Knight and Uso will both be in the final King of the Ring quarterfinal Fatal 4-Way this Friday night.

Intercontinental Champion Penta def. Rey Mysterio

I've been eagerly awaiting a rematch between these two since their one (and I believe only) outing in Lucha Underground a decade ago. Amazingly, Mysterio hasn't missed a step since then, so this was another excellent match from them. Post-match, Rusev and Ethan Page attacked them both before Chad Gable (complete with his old entrance music!) made the save. The storytelling with Gable since SmackDown has been fantastic. I hope they have something significant in mind for him going into SummerSlam (which will emanate from his hometown of Minneapolis).

Je'Von Evans def. Ricky Saints, Talla Tonga and Seth Rollins in a King of the Ring Quarterfinal Fatal 4-Way Match

Rollins winning felt like a foregone conclusion, so Evans advancing instead was a pleasant surprise. The Vision costing Rollins the win was logical. We could still get Rollins vs. Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, but Rollins wouldn't need to win King of the Ring in order to set that up. We've gotten a ton of Fatal 4-Ways in the last week, but this one delivered as well and all four guys had a chance to shine.

Overall Show

I liked this edition of Raw even more than last week's, and that was an above-average episode in my book. The two quarterfinal Fatal 4-Ways along with the two title matches were great, and the build for the remaining Fatal 4-Ways on SmackDown was effective. Throw in a hot crowd in Paris and you have yourself a show that's well worth checking out. I love the early start times whenever WWE is overseas, so I'll take them whenever I can get them.
