Oba Femi Attacked Brock LesnarPaul Heyman did his usual shtick on the mic before Femi emerged to clothesline Lesnar out of the ring. That was about it. This was a much simpler segment than last week, but it still worked for what it was and I appreciated that Femi once again stood tall. There's a few weeks until WrestleMania 42, so there's time for them to do more, such as Femi addressing Lesnar as well as Lesnar getting the better of Femi at least once. The Vision (Austin Theory and Logan Paul) def. World Tag Team Champions The Usos by DisqualificationThis was the match I thought we'd get at WrestleMania, and we still might, but I'm a lot less convinced now that they've done it on Raw and that they announced a Street Fight rematch for next week. This was decent, but the finish was lame. LA Knight helped out The Usos toward the end, but I have no idea how he factors into WrestleMania. I guess The Vision could take the tag titles next week and defend against Knight and Seth Rollins, but Knight agreeing to team with Rollins after everything Rollins put Knight through last summer while he was leading The Vision would be ridiculous. Becky Lynch Accepted Women's Intercontinental Champion AJ Lee's WrestleMania 42 ChallengeLynch and Lee's promo exchanges have been fairly hit or miss over the last few months, but this was one of their better ones. Lynch's delivery and material were strong as were Lee's and they logically set up their rematch for WrestleMania. The match definitely needs a stipulation, but they have time to announce one with WrestleMania not being for another four weeks. Je'Von Evans def. Grayson WallerWe see Waller wrestle so infrequently these days that it's easy to forget what he's capable of. Granted, there was no uncertainty surrounding the outcome here, but they had a really nice match in the time they were allotted. I don't know where this story with Evans and Kofi Kingston is headed, but I've liked what we've gotten so far and I'm glad Evans has been winning most of his matches. Seth Rollins Attacked Paul Heyman and Got ArrestedI don't know that we needed as much Heyman as we got on this show, but to his credit, he had a pretty good performance. He was successful in making you want to see Rollins get his hands on him and that was exactly what happened. My only issue is, what is the endgame supposed to be? Rollins has basically already given Heyman his comeuppance twice now, and I'm not sure Bron Breakker will be cleared in time for WrestleMania for a match with Rollins to happen. Lyra Valkyria and Bayley def. The Kabuki WarriorsKabuki Warriors have no reason to be involved in whatever the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match will end up being at WrestleMania, so it made more sense for Valkyria and Bayley to go over here. The crowd was quiet, but the bout was well wrestled. We saw IYO SKY interact with Kairi Sane backstage afterward, so that gives me hope she can still face Asuka at 'Mania, but I have no idea why they're waiting so long to make it official if so. Intercontinental Champion Penta def. AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio (AAA Mega Championship Was Not Defended)Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer brawled to the back during Mysterio's entrance. We've seen enough matches between Mysterio and Penta in the past year to last a lifetime, but I understand getting the rematch out of the way and having Finn Balor return and cost Mysterio the win to further that feud. This was the expected solid match from these two and all signs point to Balor facing Mysterio at WrestleMania. Roman Reigns and World Tag Team Champions The Usos Attacked World Heavyweight Champion CM PunkI wasn't a fan of how last week's altercation between Punk and Reigns ended, but this was a significant improvement. It felt much more organic than most segments we see on this show. It wasn't always smooth, but that's what added to the authenticity of it. Reigns laying out Punk was necessary after weeks of just talking and the angle was well done. The intensity is gradually increasing with each segment they have and they're pacing themselves perfectly heading into their match. Overall ShowMuch like last week, the best parts of this show were the opening segment and the final segment. Everything else held my interest and some stuff was furthered, but it's wild how close we're getting to WrestleMania and so many stars still don't have direction. This was an average episode that I enjoyed on the whole, but WWE really needs to start locking in and figuring out what the hell they want to do. For example, three straight weeks without Gunther? How is that possible?!
